@ivyctor2010 said: @sugamtaneja When you request GMAC to report the scores to a school, they report all the scores, it's then upon the school to select any of the scores. Quoting directly from GMAT website:"The score report includes all of a test taker €™s GMAT exam results from the past five years, the most recent AWA essay response, and helpful background information for each candidate, such as country of citizenship and GPA."ISB has a policy to select the highest score of all, which in your case is 640.If you feel the need to retake the GMAT and improve your scores I would say go ahead, otherwise I would advise to start thinking about your essays and concentrate fully on them.
@sugamtaneja said:Thank you for your valuable advice sir..I am not in a position to retake the GMAT so I've decided to go ahead with these scores.Yes, I understand that ISB will have both my score reports. But the application asks for a score and there's place only for one GMAT Score to be entered. If I enter the scores from my 640 GMAT, won't the 10%tile on my AWA affect it negatively? Also, has someone noticed this before, the percentiles in the unofficial and official test reports differ. I should go with the percentiles mentioned on the official test score reports I believe..?Thanks!
What was the conversion ratio in ISB for last year for both R1 & R2.

Hi, I am looking for couple of clarifications in the application:
1. In the Employment section of the application, it asks for Starting Gross Salary (per annum) and also Starting CTC (per annum). What is the difference between Gross Salary & CTC, as even the Variable Pay is also paid through the salary slip???
2. Also, Awards and Activities section should also include the Awards won during employment or those awards should be part of Job Achievements sub-section of Employments Details section???
Thanks in advance, for the reply.

@[579236:mbafinalattempt] Generally, the CTC (cost to company) is much higher than the Gross Salary. Your gross salary includes your pay but it does not include other allownaces (if any) for amenities like cell phone, transportation, leave travel, house rent, meals on duty, uniform, desk/office space rent etc...CTC includes all of the above (before tax)...hope this helps..
@[565359:sudhir3127] Can you please advise the source of this information? Thanks for the info.

does ISB consider entreprenuerial work experience?
@[565359:sudhir3127] Thanks Sudhir...I appreciate the quick response...

Yes, they do. Its evident in the application form as well as they clearly share separate guidelines for filling the details of your work-ex either as a professional (salary slips) or self-employed (ITR or bank account statements).. in any case (entrep. or non-entrep), you'll have to substantiate your work-ex claim with relevant proofs and you are good to go
wat is an ideal gmat score then
i am applying to ISB this year. Was wondering if they require the official score report by Sep 15. i can upload a pdf of the official score report. I do not want to waste my 28$ and ask Pearson Vue to send my score reports if it is not required. Thanks
What will be approximate total cost of the ISB MBA for Co 2014? Thanks!
I have a query regarding my GMAT Score report. At the time of registering for my GMAT, I had filled my GPA as 1.5 out of 4 [ A 65.17% in Delhi University translates to this score if we strictly follow the scale mentioned by MBA.com).
Now, here is my question:
Does ISB look at the GPA in the GMAT report or would it look at my mark-sheets and make it's own assessment regarding my undergraduate performance? I think it's almost impossible to convert my undergraduate percentage into a scale of 4 since a lot of variables would be involved. Please correct me if I am wrong.
The 1.5 out of 4 gives a very negative look to my GMAT report, which I feel is unwarranted. I just want to know whether I should be concerned about this issue or should I continue drafting my essays in peace!
generally how many aspirants apply for ISB every year?
ashwinbali : around 4500-5000
@sudhir- thanks.
are you applying this year?
