Overall score is considered... sectional score comes into picture only if it is drastically low.... in your case u have quite a balanced score..

Try and bring out your strength in english (verbal) through your essays (written & video).. it'll prove that the GMAT verbal score does not reflect your true ability and could have been a one of thing..

Hi PUYs'

What software are you'll using for compressing the video? Most free video compression softwares seem to add a water mark to the video when compressing it! Please let me know.

Hi I have a question regarding the uploading of video essay.

I uploaded mine at the portal but when I tried reviewing it there, it didn't have any audio.
Anyone else facing the same issue?

@apster I've tried Windows Movie Maker...it must already be installed in your windows laptop, and is quite wonderful, when it comes to compressing the video without compromising on quality. There is an option to save your video as type e-mail attachment, and it reduces size from 50 MB straight to 10 MB.. :)
@rahulg83 Thanks!
@navisingha, @shoan Thanks.. :)

Under the 'awards and activities' section, it says that we should mention our college and community awards, honours and scholarships.

Question: Where do we mention the significant awards won at school? Do we mention them at all?

Apologies if this has been asked or is too silly to be asked. Less than a week to go for the deadline and I am freaking out!

@nik864u Apart from ISB I don't have very good idea of any Indian B school (IIMA & IIMC last dates are over). So I'm looking forward to apply in York University and HEC canada as of now.
Wondering if anyone can help me suggesting which school I should apply considering financial limitations with me. I'm relying on scholarships and loan.

HEC Canada?? Which clg is that, York is good. Also as ivy said Australian colleges are good and so is NUS. I will try for Australian colleges if ISB rejects me again :(

if your overall fulltime experience is 24 months+ then do not hesitate to apply.. your profile is good but you have to be able to sell yourself well.. read up stuff online.. it'll give you an idea on how to start moving forward..

p.s. - just a tip, dont let it come out to the ISB that u want to do your MBA asap in your career.. but if you are going to mention it, then do have a VERY strong reason to back it up.. ideally save that for the interview :)

is there no other re-applicant in here?

thanks Ivyctor2010 for feedback. Looking on re giving gmat expecting around 680, hope that sort of reduces few uncertainties. btw, is there a way we can visit campus in person and get to know more about ISB. i have attended information session at banglore. want to know more abt clubs at ISB and how they operate . can we avail on campus visit.

A late entrant to the game.

you profile is good.. ideally a better GMAT score would have been good.. but if you can portray how the GMAT score is not a reflection of your managerial abilities then it should be good.. n if get the interview, then be prepared with a very good explanation for the GMAT score..

you acads are good but that is just one part ISB looks at.. they need to see work experience that has contributed to you as a professional & as a person.. if you feel you have achieved a lot in those terms then do consider applying.. but ideally more experience will raise your chances..
