Hello Sir, I would like to know how many recos are necessary in total and how many of those recos are needed from superiors where im currently working. Thanks in Advance George
George,
We need a total of two recos and it depends entirely on you who you take your recos from. However, we always recommend that you take them from your current/latest employer. Admissions Team
Dear Sir, I have completed my M.Tech in 2007 and my B.E. in 2005. I have been working with an MNC since June 2007 and want to take admission in ISB for the academic year 2009-10. I know i am short of couple of months to satisfy 2 years work ex criteria. Prior to joining as a permanent employee, I have done my full time internship for 9 months(during which i was paid as well) in the company I am working with right now as part of my M.Tech curriculum. Will this internship experience count as a work ex?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Regards, Vikram
Vikram,
Unfortunately this work experience will not be considered valid for admission.
I'm a CA and was wondering if my work experience as part of Articleship training (Full Time) should be shown in the application in Employment Details? And also will it be considered as experience by the AdCom?
Dear Sir, I've completed my basic level certification in spanish from Instituto Hispania. Where should I enter this information in the ISB admissions website?
1.I am a software engineer with around 2 years of (full time) work experience. So am I eligible to apply for admission or only 2 years of experience as an Executive is required?
2. Two years of work exp is required at the time of applying or at the time of addmission?
3.What is the minimum GMAT score required for addmission?
Dear Mr. Director, I would like to know whether there are others with profiles similar to mine in ISB.
1) BTech from IIT Madras in Chemical Engg. 2) Ph.D. in Chemical Engg. in a top university in the US 3) 5 years of work experience in R&D; in a multi-national company. Located in the US 4) GMAT: 730
Mod Edit: Profile Evaluation question. Please read the beginning of this thread. Also do mention your career goals w.r.t your career background. That would fetch you a more exact answer. Thanks RS.
Dear Mr. Menon, Can you please tell me when a mail is sent to the recommenders? Is it sent as soon as I enter their mail-ids and save, or is it sent after I complete my full application and hit the final submit button? I ask this, because my manager from whom I'll to take a reco might go on a vacation before I complete my application. So, I would like to get the reco as soon as possible.
Also, apart from 2 recos, can I send an additional reco ?
CA rankholder passed in 1998 / B.Com H from Hindu College in Delhi Work Experience of 11 years Current Salary: INR 33L p.a. Age:32 years Married and have a kid of 3 years.
I have been working for financial planning, budgeting, US GAAP reporting and been associated with Shared services (Big MNCs) for last 6 years involved in setting up operations, stabilisation and reengineering.
I still find myself getting too very concentrated in this line and getting little opportunities to diversify with my CA degree.
Do you recommed me to apply for admissions for ISB - What are my chances of selection and will I have to take a salary cut after my completion of course at ISB for few years.
Basically will it be worthwhile for me to pursue the course at ISB or any other ivy school in US.

Articleship will not be considered as full time work exp. Please do not mention it under employment details.

Shweta_Singh85,
1) You are eligible to apply. Minimum two years of work exp is required to apply to ISB. 2) We will consider your exp up till the time of admission (April 2009). 3) There are no cut-off scores - a good score strengthens your application but does not guarantee admission while a low score dos not necessarily mean exclusion.
