I am glad to see your prompt responses in this thread.
Please HELP me with this issue.
I am all set to apply for Cycle-1, today i was ready to submit the application and then i realized that i overlooked to hit "Send Mail" button for my evaluators. I have the evaluators ready and they can send the evaluations over the weekend.
Now my confusion is: After hitting the "Send mail" button, the status shows as "Mail sent to Admin". Is it an automated system that verifies the e-mail addrress or a person will do that?
I am in US and by the time it is monday (15th) for me, the deadline (as per IST) will be passed.
I am very desperate to apply in Cycle-1, given my preparation.
I have time (2 days) and evaluators ready, i just need the mails to be sent to them. Can you please point me in the right direction on what i can do over this remaining 2 days to get the evaluations submitted in time?
I already hit "send mail" button. and I am ready with rest of my application.
Thanks in advance.
Sudhi.
Sudhi,
It is a manual verification system and takes maximum 24 hrs to validaye the email ids. The Adcom is working on the weekends as well due to the deadline so you need worry. Please check with your evaluators whether they have received the link or not.
Hi, I uploaded my passport scan today 150 dpi as per instructions. On the upload page it said "upload successful". And I got the view/delete link .... On clicking view I just get a blank page .... I am not able to see the image of my passport ..... The .jpg file I uploaded is okay ... It has the pic ... i have verified that ...
I have uploaded salary proof too .... when i click view for that I am able to see the pic correctly ....
Should I assume the upload has been successful ? I already tried uploading twice. Please reply ..... am pretty concerned Thanks
Underdog,
If you are applying in the first cycle then just upload the passport and submit the application. In case, we are not able to view the passport we will get in touch with you. Your application will still be considered for cycle 1.
I have been working in my family business since past 7 years. I draw a salary and do not have any stake in the ownership. In the income proof should I post my salary slip or should I post my IT return. The IT return is understated for the purpose of saving taxes. I wish to apply in the first cycle. PLease advise as soon as possible.
Reverent,
Please upload both your salary slip as well as IT return and explain in the Optional essay.
I have a query regarding extra-curriculars. I participated in various plays during my school time at All India Radio(AIR). I did those till my 11th class (i.e. 1999).I don't have any proof for it except my first contract which fortunately my parents saved , it dates back to year 1992. Will that contract suffice as a proof or shall I go to AIR office and try to get a letter from them stating that I participated in various plays during that time 1992-1999.
I will be having around 6 years work ex. in family Business by april 2009 and my gmat score is 580. I am director in some of our group companies in real estate , petroleum etc.
Mod Edit: Profile Evaluation Question hence deleted.
Are there any seats reserved for entrepreneurs/Family Business people in ISB?
Some questions still unanswered In FT ranking, for the Alumni Recommended Rank, ISB is 85th. Also, value for money rank and Achieving Aims rank is low. What are the ways ISB is targeting these? The bidding for courses has been discussed. Its also quoted in an interview that 560 will be the strength of Co2010. Does that permit students to audit, meaning attend courses without earning the credits?

Dear Sir, This is regarding submitting recommendation in ISB admission process. In the recommendation section the applicant is asked to submit recos from two of the supervisors.Unfortunately I am working for an investment bank which has filed bankruptcy (I need not explicitly mention the name of the company). As a result I may have to leave the company in a very short notice period so is my manager.(The entire business unit is being shut down) In that case how will the recommendation procedure work.I will take GMAT in Oct,2008 and intend to apply by end of October,2008.Please reply as early as possible.

Subhrajit,
You should opt for an offline evaluation. Then you need not submit your evaluator's official email id.
I am an ISB aspirant and plan to apply for 2010 admissions. I have gone through many of the posts here and thank you so much for the wealth of information. I am concerned about the practical feasibility of getting into ISB due to some of my concerns.
I have traveled through BTech, Mtech & 5.5 year job experience as of now. My academic credentials are just average (70%),and my participation in extracurricular activities in school and college was limited or nil.
At workplace i have scaled many heights and won laurels to be proud of. I got an opportunity to discover and use my skills only after entering the Job. Now I am trying to improve myself each and everyday.
Sir, I want to know the impact of the average student rating i had during my study time on my chances of winning the ISB seat.
I have a very basic question regarding the accadamic marks percentages mentioned as a part of the eligibility criteria.I have traveled through BTech, Mtech & 4.8 year job experience as of now. My academic credentials are just average (58%),and my participation in extracurricular activities in school and college was good .At workplace i have scaled many heights and won many awards. Now I am trying to improve myself each and everyday.

Vsriv,
It is important to understand the process before one tries to interpret the result. The alumni recommended rank does not indicate how many of our alumni recommend our school to others. This question asks our alumni to list 3 b-schools from where they will recruit. Then based on the number of votes received by each school the rank is determined. Therefore this rank is not the reflection of our alumni but reflection on what alumni of other schools think. Given that most schools are in the US they would prefer US based school to cast their votes for. Therefore you will find most Asian school with a low rank. It is also affected by the size of the intake which was low for ISB for the class that was surveyed. Value for money rank is also a function of the purchasing power parity and that is what is reflected in the rank. The aims achieved rank is not as low. The class surveyed had graduated 4 years back when ISB was very new. The school evolves over time and things are much better now. Please note that ISB, just a 7 year old school, competed with schools with 150 years of history. Additionally the class surveyed graduated when ISB was only 3 years old. We feel it is no mean achievement. We know we have some ground to cover and are working on it. I hope you will be a part of this history making school. Students cannot audit courses at ISB.
