While filling the Application form I'm facing problem in entering the GMAT test date due to syntax error.

Currently in a reputed International IT company.
Working as a Senior Consultant.
Over all 7 years of experience, (2 years in US, and am currently in Hong Kong for the past 6 months).
B.E. (Comp Sc) from Pune Univ - First Class
XII - 80 % (CBSE)
X - 84% (CBSE).

GMAT Score - 600.

My positives are my work experience,my leadership and organization skills my ability to deal with pressure and my perseverance.

I also have done some social work on and off. I actively participate in sports like volley ball, football etc.

I am keen to join ISB. I wish to know if I do stand a chance as I am intending to apply.

N.B. Also if you could please inform me if I can apply for scholarship. I am the sole bread earner in my family.

A higher GMAT score will increase your chances of being short listed from amongst the highly competitive IT applicant pool.

Hello sir,
I am applying in R2. I am in process of preparing the application. However, is it possible for my evalator to submit reommendation before i submit application. If yes, let me know how. as I couln't locate anything that allows me to submit my recommendor's e id before submission of application.

I have a querry regarding the placement process (for experienced people).

I have heard that placements for people with more that 5yrs experience happens earlier than the regular placements. Is this true ? If so, do consulting companies take part in this earlier round of placements ?

I am just wondering about students who want to weight their options between consulting companies and customised placements in their domain of expertise.

For instance, I would like to weigh my options between Hi-Tech product development, telecom strategy consulting and telcos. I will be with 7yrs exp, when I join ISB (if I get in and am sincerely hoping I would).

If you haven't received the unofficial score report then you can upload the test taker's copy.

Hi Admissions at ISB,
I'm having difficulty entering in my CGPA for Grade 12. I completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma from Hanoi International School, Vietnam. This is graded out of a maximum possible score of 45 points. However, there is no such option in the CGPA Scale pull down box in the online application ?

1) I know that we need to pay RS. 200,000 within 15 days of getting the admission offer letter. But, can you please tell me when we need to pay the remaining tuition?
2) How much discount will I get if I pay the tuition in full?

1) About 50% of the total fee by 13 April and balance by 5 Sep.
2) About 8% on the second installment dues.

I have a query. I interviewed from delhi on 13th morning. My documents that were sent after my interview invite (tenth , twelveth mark sheets etc) are not uploaded till this moment. When I look at the profiles of candidates whose documents are uploaded....clearly outstanding or they they are women...so can you please let us know that if the uploading is done based on selection?

Uploading your documents and attaching them to your application is a very lengthy and cumbersome process. That is why we have asked round 2 applicants to upload all their marksheets. Please bear with us as it will take some more time.

I have the following queries :

1. Im planning not to join Hexaware Tech cuz im really not much interested in IT and on top of that it becomes too boring.. In the long run I wanna get into marketing and therefore im planning to get some work ex in the feild of sales and marketing in a startup firm . I was wondering how will ISB view this in the sense that an engineer guy is going in for sales and marketing ?

2.Does ISB look for industry specific work ex or anything where one has performed well ? i.e do u have a preference for industry ?

3.With my profile what kind and amount of work ex will enhance my chances at ISB ?

4. Can u list all the factors u consider while giving an admit ? Rankwise if possible ?

5. Say i have exp in sales and marketing then how can i benifit from it post ISB in placements and salaries ?

6. SAy i make an industry shift from sales and marketing to Consulting , will my previous work ex count in determining my role and salary or it wont cuz its of another feild ?

7.What are the chances of an industry shift ?

  1. It will not be viewed in a negative sense.
  2. We do not have an industry preference. We only look at the quality of your work exp.
  3. There is no sure shot way to enhance my chances at ISB. There are a number of parameters that we consider while short listing candidates and it also depends a lot upon the applicant pool.
  4. Please go through the thread. This query has been answered a number of times before.
  5. It all depends upon the quality of your work exp, the skill set you bring to the campus and the recruiters requirements. How can i benifit from it post ISB in placements and salaries depends how good a use you make of the facilities and opportunities provided by ISB.
  6. Relevant exp will be considered.

Chandu_v,

The average work exp of the batch at ISB is 5 years and their placements will happen during the normal placement period. We have a system of Lateral placements for those with more than 8 years of work exp. Companies are free to look at these profiles off campus and also to evaluate their applications when they come down for placements on campus. Companies with Telecom, Strategy and Product Management in IT are regular favourites here.
