bobby24in SaysAnybody got any news from Ivey?
They definitely seem to be working on a Sunday. I had submitted my resume for an initial assessment and I got a feedback just an hour ago.
I am planning to apply for Ivey by the 5th Oct. deadline and I had mainly opted for the resume assessment since its required if you want to take part in a class visit and avail the Travel Award.
The feedback tells me that I am not a fit for the full-time MBA but may be a fit for the Executive MBA. Needless to say, I am disappointed. But I do believe that the assessment is probably done at a very broad level and my age (33) would be the main factor for them to point me to the EMBA.
(BTW, I don't mention my age in my CV, but it can be derived at from the no. of years of work experience and the education history)
Did anybody else in this forum get such a feedback for their resume assessment? Would it still make sense to go ahead and submit my application?
Thanks!
GBH, What other b schools u targetting? thr r many whr ur age and experience will be an asset to peer learning.....
lemme know if u need ne help...
Thanks SDK2010. Any tips that you can provide would be welcome!
I also plan to apply for Oxford and Cambridge on this side of the world. But having lived in Europe for the last 8 years (the first 25 in India), Ivey is at the top of my list since it will let me explore and experience N.America in a one-year MBA format.
GBH u should apply to IMD, where majority of the class would be your age..
I would also be 32 by the time i join school, but luckily Ivey said, i have an excellent fitment..
may be because i would only have 7 yrs work ex by then ( I have done my masters after B.Tech)
You can apply to Queens which is also 1 yr program...

Hey Guyz,
Usually how long does it take to get the Canadian Student Visa?
Due to some issues, I can apply to Ivey only by Round 2 and decision date is Jan 5th and its mentioned tat classes start frm Mar 15th.
Will it be too tight to get Visa under 2 months?
Thanks!
