Usually how long does it take to get the Canadian Student Visa?
Due to some issues, I can apply to Ivey only by Round 2 and decision date is Jan 5th and its mentioned tat classes start frm Mar 15th.
Will it be too tight to get Visa under 2 months?

Go ahead with you application. If you are applying for student visa then whole process wont take more than 30 days. I applied for it and got it on eaxctly on 15th day.. then you will have to go for medical say 1 day...next you will submit your visa for stamping which will be in one week...
I think 2 months are enough for getting student visa...
According to me anti-resume means the things which you usually dont put on your resume. We always write our positive things on resume...so some of your negetivities should be your anti-resume....

Thanks for the response. It would be useful if u can give some pointers on the Visa processing too. As in any min bank balance to be shown?if yes...approx how much of Tuition+living expense?

You will have to show that you have enough money to pay you fee and living expenses (include education loan if you are planning to take ) + as much as you can show. You will also have to prove the visa officer that you will not settle there and will have to prove the ties with your home country. They are always afraid of illegal immigrants. show all the assets you have including land, gold , shares, fds etc.
Generally they give visa easily to ivey and queens students

On a side note, this thread reallllly died down. I don't know what to think anymore, but I'm pretty sure we are waitlisted. If they wanted to ding us, they would already. Anyways, we will know or fate by Oct 4th!!!!!
Should the official university transcript hardcopy be mailed to the admission office before the round deadline?

Ya it should reach before deadline.. but if you will inform Ivey then within 5-10 days should be ok... Rest you can email them ask.. they will be in the best position to tell...

Nyways, to tell you very frankly, my interview was ok...not good but juss ok...starting and ending was good but in between it was quite rough for me. Plus heavy rain and lightning caused lot of disturbance while talkin. it lasted arnd 50min and was interview but two ladies on the phone, it was kind of a conference. few of the questions wer standard but mostly wer related to my job, my experience and Ngo industry in India and abroad...and also my previous exp in Wipro technologies..
Interviewers wer kind enuf to repeat the questions wen ever required since there was a disturbance in the line..and yeah..once the Line got Disconnected :(...this was wen i got the cold feet :p...at the end, they said that the result will be conveyed in 2-4 weeks time.

Let's hope. I expected news last Friday and nothing came. So I am starting to believe this whole "friday" business someone mentioned before is not true. Let's wait and see. Either day, I have waited this long, if I do no hear anything today, another week will not kill me.

Ivey and Rotmans are the top 2 schools in Canada. After that, you have Schlich, Queens and then the others (according to me, others might think differently and that is great). Ivey and Rotmans are tier 1 and rest rest teir 2.
Queens and Schlich are top notch, and schulich has a large international presence and is repected globally. I plan to apply (and have already started working on) Rotmans/Queens/Schlich. These are the only 4 schools I am applying to in Canada, and then its off to the US and/or Europe (London). Ivey is my #1 choice, but if it does not go to plan, I will apply to the others.
Although Queens is good, I am having trouble justifying the tuition fee when compred to Schulich. Ivey and Rotmans I can justify the $70k+ fee, but for Queens I cannot.
Bottom line is, you have to see what school is the right FIT for your future goals and your learning style. I love the case based method that Ivey teaches, and this is similar to my undergrad experience. But your research will be the deciding factor.
