Why you are applying for deferral?
Bobby
Guys...a couple of queries
1/ Have all of you given your toefl or most of you have got a waiver
2/ How are you folks managing the transcripts..? I mean is the college sending them or scanned copies would suffice, and then originals can be produced later on..?

Why you are applying for deferral?
Bobby
Hi Bobby,
There are 2 big reasons for the deferral:
1. I do not have sufficient funds, and I do not want to put my family under extreme financial stress just for my MBA.
2. I think economic situation would be much clearer after 1 year and there is a high possibility that I would be able to find a Canadian co-signer after that.
Cheers,
Chirag

1. I'm applying for waiver as my undergrad transcripts clearly states that medium of education is English
Have explained the same in the online application
2. My univ gave sealed envelope which I couriered to Ivey
I had sent scanned copy long bk whn applying for travel grants for class visit
Hope it helps

I basically took the TOEFL, even though my under graduation was entirely in English, since I have been staying in a non-English speaking country for so long now and I know that some schools prefer you to take the TOEFL if you have not been working in an English-speaking environment for the last few years.
Bangalore University basically attests the photocopies of your marks sheets and degree certificate, puts them in an envelope, seals it and hands it to you. They refuse to send your transcripts to any school.

The professional designations section popped up only recently - possibly sometime during the last few days. I too wasn't quite sure about this, but I have a feeling its for the EMBA and not really applicable for the MBA application.

I agree...even the Online Help section doesn't explain what it is
Also, in the Financial Aid and Exp section $ values I have taken as USD.
Hope it's fine..
initially i was confused whether to use USD or CAD

Hey guys....thanks for all the congrats and sorry I did not respons sooner as I was out of town and finally now got this working on my phone...
For everyone on the waitlist, the key is to keep ivey updated and knowing who you are! Stay active on iveys facebook and via email! I know you will all get in and I will see u guys there!!!
I was offered deferred admissions bc of my age and expereince as per what niki told me. I do not think it has anything to do with the amount of people they accepted.
My work exp is only 2.5 years and I work for hsbc bank canada.
Good luck too all the waitlisted ppl and all new applicants! Feel free to ask me and questions....

Hi Guys,
I just had my interview with Karen.I guess it was ok..not great!!...BY what i have read, will need to wait around 4 weeks for the result...a bit tensed...neways...my profile as below....
Work Ex - 4 years(at graduation) + onsite experiance..
GMAT - 700
Extra curriculars : loads, satet level, district level and zonal representations ,Modelling, founding memeber of an NGO etc...Know basic french...
The turn off for me at the interview was that it felt like my interviewer wasnt showing any interest in all that I said.....i didnt find the interview very stimulating....although i did hear a couple of "thts gud"...etc etc
also, the interview just lasted for 25 minutes...so tht looks like a dissapointment...
for all those who were interviewed, was my interview a special case or your respective interviewers behaved in the same way...
thanks in advance....

Hello,
Best of luck on your Ivey admissions.
I cannot speak for other interviewers, but mine was with Susan from career services and she was VERY VERY good. Very responsive and interested in my answers. The interview lasted about 45 minutes..
As for Karen, you should ask other people that inteviewed with her to get a better representation of where you stand.

you should get it within 2-3 weeks via email. After that, about 4-5 weeks for a decision. Some people with VERY competative profiles got the official admit within like 2 weeks after the interview.
congratulations on your admit tdadic....
i too hope to get thru...
