Hello Friends.....

I am also applying for May10 MBA cohort. Presently in the process of writing Essays.
Few doubts.

1) Do i need to pay fees of 150C$ even though i sent my score to IVEY through my GMAT exam?
IVEY is one of the school I mentioned in 5 schools.

2) Till what time my work experience will be counted? till May10 or till the date i submit application?

3) I also want to waive TOFEL/IELTS. Any idea over this?

Hey,

1) The $150 is not a fee to send the score, but an application fee. Even thought you sent your score via GMAC, you still have to pay the application fee

2) Work exp. counts till the day the program starts. So May 2010

3) Not sure of this, maybe someone else can help you.

Hope that answered some of your questions.

Thanks bro.
This is really helpful information for me.

1) So this means there is no benefit for sending score through GMAC , is it?
or GMAC charges extra(apart from application fee) to apply to B-School?

2) We do not need to send them experience letter, correct?

3) Anyone who has tried for IELTS/TOFEL waiver....for IVEY???

1. you have to send your gmat score thru gmac (score report) and you have to pay the application fee as well.
2. no experience letter is required
3. i had sent my toefl score. maybe u can ask for a waiver.

Hi, I had mailed the Ivey admissions office and mentioned that my degree was from a univ where the medium of instruction is english and that my work ex is also from an MNC. So I got a toefl waiver but since a lot of the univs actually ask for it :(, am giving it next week!!!

Hi ,I have recieved a interview call scheduled for 22th oct

Profile
GMAT 670
Indian IT 3 yr
Entire experience is outside india and involves BA/Consulting and Sales

I am not that big fan of Ivey and even if accepted might not go for it.

But still no harm in interview it will be a good experience.

Anyone else interview this week or in coming weeks

hi prabh1985

atb, when did u get the invite and how did u get it (email/phone)?

last week ,email

thats pretty quick considering that IVEY generally takes 2-3 weeks to send an invite...

when did u submit your app... i submitted mine on the 1st of Oct...

5th October, I did not get it either i submitted 4 colledges and Ivey was first to reply with in less than a week

that's great... maybe they are really interested in your profile... atb....

UCLA,Oxford,Johnson and Rotman . I am looking to apply to ISB but with 670 i stand no chance against great minds of my sweet home

mba_20_10 What abt u where all r u applying whats ur profile

730 GMAT / 5 yrs work ex

Applied to Ivey and Ross. Working on Tuck.

good luck on your interview prabh1985,

You mentioned a few posts back that you ae no to fond of Ivey? Why did you apply to it then? Is it a back-up school for you? Is there a specific reason for you saying this like maybe trying to focus on a sector that Ivey is not strong in?

Just curious...and even if you do not plan to go, I 100% agree with you that doing the interview will be a good expereience for future interviews and applications.

ATB!!

any other R1 applicants with interview invites?

Hi Prabh,
I dont know your full profile but if you go by your GMAT score only (while deciding for ISB) then you seem to be making a mistake. Last year I applied with a GMAT score of just 660 and they invited me for the interview. However, I could not clear that. It was not because of GMAT but I think, I could not bring clarity on my long term goals... So take my advice and apply for ISB...ATB

@tdadic84

yup , it is a backup also it will not help my profile and long term goal
