I got my answer but i am unable to understand the meaning of snail mail?
If its some term commonly used please excuse me for my ignorance

snail mail indicates mail delivered by the postal service

i had applied on the 1st of oct. got an invite for dec 6th.

what do you mean that you got an invite for dec 6th? isn't dec 6th the final response date for everyone who applied in the first round? did you get an interview date set up? I'm still waiting for their response ever since i've applied on 2nd of october.

i'm based in bangalore. ivey is visiting bangalore on dec 6th. so it will be a f2f interview. i still haven't asked them why dec 6th. i will probably drop an email to the adcom.

maybe they are bogged down with the huge number of apps. hope you hear from them soon. atb.

Thanks for your reponse! After reading through this thread, I've discovered some people who received their interview invites between 27 days to 35 days after they had submitted their applications. So I still feel there's hope. Will see what happens.

I have a question for everyone. does ivey send out their rejections by email or the regular mail? If it's by email, than I still feel safe because I don't have anything in my inbox 😃 lool!!

That's weird because I remember they told me that I could just scan my transcripts and then email it to them. They never asked me to send them a hardcopy of my transcripts.

well there was never a transcript form. You just need to scan your transcript to your computer. I'm assuming that you already have your transcript from your undergraduate school. So just scan it, and then email it to the admissions office. you'll have to contact them first because one of them admissions officer will give you his or her email to which you can email your transcript.

Had my interview on 5th Oct...today is 28th..still no response....first lesson in management....managing stress...sheesh!!!

yeah, you wouldn't get a confirmation email from the school, but they'll contact you when they notice that you're missing any document. You'll have to trust your recommenders. I made my recommenders send me a seperate email to me to confirm that they had sent their recommendations to the school. Consider it as an experience to delegate things to people 😃

Let me share with you my case.Both of my recommenders sent recos via email but there were no acknowledgements from Ivey to either them or me.I mailed the admissions office and the reply was they have received the reco from only one of them.Then I contacted the other referer and he resent.Then I mailed again and they confirmed.But,Laurie Johnston informed me that once you submit the application,they generally get back to the applicant within 5 working days if any component is missing.Ivey is very flexible on this..so I think you will get to know about gaps in time.

you're right. I also contacted ivey to verify whether they received my recommendations, and they did confirm back to me that they have received them. They are very helpful when it comes to that. The only thing I'm suspecting for why they haven't got back to me with an interview invite is that they were probably waiting for my GMAT score. I've requested GMAT to send my scores to Ivey on the 22nd of September, and I've applied to Ivey on the 2nd of October. Some people told me that it could take as long as 3 weeks before the schools can receive the GMAT scores. Is this true? How long does it normally take from the time you request GMAT to report your scores until the time when the school receives the scores?
