Ivey Mba

I've heard from the admissions team that there have been a record number of applications thus far (you know why! Economy ;-) ). This perhaps is causing the delay. Usually, you can expect the decision prior to the start of subsequent deadline. I got my decision after two months since I'd submitted my applications (probably they took more time to decide my case and finally granted me the deferred admit). Contact the adcom, if you are finding things unusually getting delayed.

Congratulations on your admit. Feels great to find the good news right within your first post.
Joe
That's right. Ivey claims that the third interview is not unusual. I'd been through only two interviews. I think your third interview is the decider. Since Ivey has not yet been able to decide on your case having completed two interviews, there could be two possibilities,
1)something special in your profile that makes Ivey interested
2)something unconventional that Ivey is not completely convinced to reject your candidacy
Either case, if you can perform your third interview extremely satisfying, I think your position is assured. Try and give your best shot ensuring consistency across all interviews.
Shelin, Congratulations on your interview invite. You may want to check the accepted.com interview experience page.
Shelin/desigan, Good luck both of you.
Lastchance,
Not sure how you'd submitted your resume. Create a user account and logon to inside track --> Resume Assessment --> Enter the details and submit. Remember having done this last year. Hope this helps.

^^Thanks for the tips demandez and a belated happy birthday :).

Lastchance,

I also had submitted my resume for an initial accessment. It was a two page resume with focus on the professional achievements. If you have already taken your GMAT and TOEFL, you can mention those scores in your resume as well. That may help to get a better accessment from the admission committee. I received my resume assessment back in a standard format within 3/4 days after submitting my resume.

Thanks Demandez, a belated :happybday: to you.

Demandez - Thanks for your wishes.

Got my interview email today. I've scheduled one for the morning of 12/2.
Will keep you guys posted.

Hope this helps.

I submitted my application for Ivey Fall-2009 on 06-Nov-2008 (just one day before the deadline).

But I have not heard back from them till now.

I have got my institute sending the transcripts on the Ivey Ad-com address.
Am I missing something or the delay is due to Fall-2009 course-application?

My profile 690/IT-6 years/3.5 years in US/good academics and extra-curricular activities....

Please pour-in your 2-cents..

Hi,
Had my first interview with Jeniffer today. Was pretty cool, nothing grilling. Asked the basic questions as -

1-Why MBA now, why Ivey
2-What shall I bring to Ivey
3-Career aspirations, short and long term
4-Best accomplishment till date, also most frustrating thing at work
5-Most difficult decision taken
6-Things I like to improve upon

I mite have goofed up a bit in 1-2 questions but overall was pretty well. She said that they will contact in 2-3 weeks time and the final decision will be out by mid Jan.

Jainesh,
Did you apply on Nov-6th deadline? And I believe you mentioned that you applied for Fall-2009.

Please confirm.

p2here,
In fact I applied in Oct first week but got a response from them on Nov 20th or something. Yes I have applied for 2009 Fall cohort. Ivey is usually very slow in processing applications, probably becoz the volume is vey high and they tend to interview many. Hope this helps!!

Hey Guys,
Does Ivey inerview everyone, or is it a considerabvle smaller number?
Any idea what is the invitation rate for interview and also from interview to acceptance?

For those waiting for interview, here is some information.
I got a call to schedule interview a few days back and they told me that there was very very few slots before Christmas and most of the applicant would get call in Jan.
