CSE doesn't churn out as many 9+ pointers as people generally think of(certainly not comparable to the likes of ETCE & IT)...

In my batch, only top 3-4 had cgpa>9.

It's a gross misconception that scoring marks is easy in CSE.However,I must agree that it's even more difficult in Mech/Electrical/Chemical...

Only a couple of 9 pointers(considering CGPA) and a lone guy with a percentage>84.5

Well I asked my college(Kalyani Govt Engg College) and they showed me the document that shows deduction of 0.75 from CGPA is necessary for calculation of percentage..Please contact your college if u need any clarification..

Getting around 70-75 percentile in mock cats

this is going to be the 1 st ever cat of my life on 3 rd november ,2012!

What r mah chances of getting calls from IIMs(A,B,C,L,I,K)if i score a high percentile?

Will mah grad percentage screw up mah chances ?if even i score a good cat percentile?

@[606997:ShuvamJoy] Xavier's is famous for screwing up ... I know of Gautam bawa from your college he got 60 odd percentage and now he is an IIM C .

Keep your cool. Give the mocks and analyse them thoroughly. General gyan, I know, but its important to get your strategy bang on. Ecchara ar ki bolbo, notun kore kichu bolar nei. Specific kono area te kono problem hole, u'll always find seniors here to help u out...
Best of luck for CAT...remember what u do in those 140 mins matter, the mocks and their scores...they are only for analysis (learnt from own experience).

Always feel free to ping me in case u all have any doubt...the only catch is that the answer may be coming after a day or two.....its pretty hectic out here

@all- anybody who has attended GDPI in IIMs & other reputed colleges,plz reply to this-

I am from WB board.what should I write in %? I mean just divide the aggregate by 10.Or add all numbers divide by 12 as there was a elective subject with 2 papers,from which 60 marks were deducted... & would there be any problem if i just divide aggregate by 10 as that would make my % lot higher...

Hi need a little bit of help, was following the discussion here, it seems many have argued for gpa*10 as %age for WBUT, but there is an official document in the following link stating the method, in that case do we give *10 or convert and give? Even I have filled up *10 and don't know whether to change it or not.
