Life at LBSIM , New Delhi

In Case you think that with 10 days to go for exams everyone will be doing study, study & only study then THINK AGAIN. Genesis- The Marketing Club came up with Mark-O-Mania another fun filled event. Round 1- MARQ comprise of 25 ques of 10 marks each under the heads of Connect-O, Logo Bash, Gyan Curry & Dekh Bhai Dekh. In a team of 2 you had to score the maximum to qualify for the next round- Mark Your Fortune.

6 teams (3 Seniors & 3 Juniors) reached next round. Herein a survey had already been conducted among 200 people & the teams had to give their answers nearest to the top 5 answers to that survey questions. Top most answer would fetch you 50 marks, 2nd one 40, then 30 & so on. After 13 questions the top 2 teams were left to answer next 3 questions. These 2 teams also competed in the final round- Mark The Beats wherein a member had to listen to a jingle on headphones & then enact it to your partner who would guess the product as well as the jingle. The winners won by a margin of 55 points (515 against 460) & received a cash prize of Rs 1500/-.
I was the part of the team which scored the maximum in Round 1 but couldn't clear Round 2. Trust me this was an amazing event with fun written over every moment of it.

that moment when you realise that 3 months have passed and it just feels like 3 weeks.. as the first trimester draws to a close and exams being a couple of days away, I drag myself to the library to pick up what's been left behind by the intellectual junta and realise that "OMG... a trimester has passed!!".. i'm 1/6th of an MBA.. (optimism.. considering exams havent even started.. let alone results being declared :-P )... its been one hell of a journey... the highest point being the Outreach program which has probably been discussed at length in ths forum... I mean, getting a chance of a one on one interaction with the VP of JPMC at blore.. how cooler cud that get.. that IS one of LBSIM's crown jewels... add to that the fun filled events hosted by various academic and cultural clubs and on the other end, the assignments and projects multiplying like a farm of rabbits... each day at LBSIM throws up something new and interesting..

exams conclude tomrw... getting ready to meet two long lost friends of mine... namely "sleep" and "peace of mind"... and looking forward to the next trimester.. the important national level HR conference on saturday to start off with...

Time really flies.. Trimester 1 exams are over meaning we have completed 3 months in LBSIM.. 3 months- when did they passed by have no idea but how they passed will always remain as finest memories. Unknown faces turned into best est buddies & life just completely changed from then on.

Well 1st experience of PGDM trimester exam was equally thrilling.. Preparations reminded us all of our engineering days. Last night study that too by being awake whole night.. Scanning the question paper for 10 min to find out the question for which the answer is known.. Then looking around to see the expressions on everyone's face & to find out who will help us.. When some one asks for extra sheet feeling shocked & counting the no of pages we ourselves have filled till now.. Who says Exams are boring.. They are equally fun filled..
Now its time to get back to all the stuff that was happening before the exams- Various fun events from various clubs. It will start with a National Level HR Conference on Sept 29,2012. But before that Best Of Luck to all the teams going to IIM A for competing in the finals of various events- Debating event, Marketing event & many more. Hope they are able to replicate the success of previous years & be rest assured this is just the beginning. With the kind of talent we have anything is possible.

Wowwww ...

What a Hectic past 2 weeks have been ..

Trimester 1 Exams and then some very important events lined up and one of them was the HR conference .

I'll say the most important thing about the HR conference was the expert views from eminent personalities from the Corporate Industry .
2 sessions backed with real life example and ways to tackle situations ..

Although me not taking HR as a specialization but the HR conference did bring out the temptation in me ...

JAM packed Auditorium and HR personnel from various sectors from the corporate industry..
I personally feel it could n't hv been better ...

Let's have a Look :-)
