And believe me the mess workers do have a really good team if they can get 11 of them to play!! I don`t know whether you guys had a chance to see those guys in action!!!

you should have seen the matches...especially the final between PGPM07 and PGPM06... also the match of Team MDI vs the rest of the world ( foreign exchange students from Europe, US etc) was colourful.... we taught 'em some tricks of football... We too play with the mess workers...though we have around 30 people on the field sometimes...:wow: they are really good...makes me wonder what talent is hidden and waiting to be uncovered....!
Here at MDI the senior batches had started a tradition of celebrtng the Ganpati Festival ..... so this year we got a chance to be a part of it tooo ....
Over the weekend few fellow Mumbaikars and Maharashtrians got together to celebrte Ganpati Festival@MDI ..... We decorated the first flooor mess of Change Masters late into night ..... then next day morning some of us went and brought the pooja kaa saaman, prasadam and the Idol!!! the Idol was installed at 10AM.... we had the Lord amidst us for a day and halfs celebrtns ....... had grtt time ..... 3 aartis a day ......... students came to seeek blessngs of the Lord of Wisdom ..... (we need em with all the quizzzes, submissions and end term exams loomng on our head rte nw!!! 😉 :D)
plus cple of guys went to the Maharashtra Stall@Delhi Haaat and got.... delicious modaks for evryone .... which lasted for two whole days .........we mumbaikars to literally feasted feasted on the modaks ...... then on sunday evening few guys went to Yamuna for the "Visarjan" ........ and then they again went to the maharashtra stall@Delhi haat to njoiii maharashtrian fare ... Puran Polis, saabudaana vada, kokam sherbet, vadaa paav, modak etc etc ...
All in alll ..... dint misss mumbai all that much .... as we had our own ganpati celebrtn over here!!! 😃 :)

Well I won't say I didn't miss Mumbai..we cannot help but miss the pomposity with which the celebrations take place in Mumbai. But we did the aartis in true Mumbai style and had a good time.

well our exams starts from tomorrow and will end on tuesday and term II starts on wednesday (yeah no term break) but one can not feel any examination environment now, it was there durig mid-term but nothing for end-term even though Mufasa Bhai is studying and so he is not visible on PG as well. the life is more cool in exams then nrmal days as no classes, u go to examination hall and write whatever u feel like, that's the beauty of exams in B-Schools

tumne bulaya aur hum chale aaye.... 😃 Dude, I was busy with things other than studies... And didnt you know that there was a statistics class today at 01:00 AM followed by an accounting class at 02:00 AM... of course these were taken by students who know more than people like moi ( and that's not saying that I know much:wow:) Also I have a accounting presentation at 2:15... so who said classes are not being held!!!

Term 1 ended yesterday with the last paper of Economics....:) and term 2 has begun today... no breaks in between.... We had an absolutely amazing Prof teaching ManAcc1 in the last sem and have an equally brilliant and captivating Prof in this sem too... just came back from his class....these Profs have ended in confusing me even more... I am getting drawn towards Finance now.....:wow:

BIG TIME CONGOSSSSSS to Mufasa for the Jindal Scholarship
A bit late in wishin him, as the HR gang returned just today from the trip to Palampur/Dharamshala/McLeodgunj which was absolutely fabulous with some good sight-seeing, a 24 km long trek and some loads of fun - 31 people including some of the exchange students who also accompanied us...
The trip was an absolute necessity coz of the over-hectic end of term 1 with loads of presentations, projects and finally the end-terms for which there was zilch study - needless to say i know how the marks wud come out to be.. 😁 ;)
Term 2 promises to be rockin fun with all da major fests at MDI - Illumina in Oct and Imperium in Nov (me being part of Team Imperium know da amount of work which will go into making it a HUGE success this year), and not to forget one of the biggest events in the history of MDI - APROS the global Conference, which would be held in India for the first time - and that too at MDI - this December... :)
So probably it would be more fun, and less study this term 😉
@ManDevIans - lookin fwd to the party this Sat - lets have a rockkkin time :)

As for Mcloedganj, it seemed as if MDI had shifted to that place on the weekend. There was the HR batch, ppl from IM batch, some of us from PM batch...and also a lot of the foreigners some of whom went with other students and others who landed there on their own..
The not-so-good part of the trip was seeing the very faces that we hoped to escape from

Saale dumbell....you dont have to be that curt....its true that except the location, we were virtually roaming in mdi campus....where every other face was of a fella mandevian...not that i am complaining....but as they say...too much of anything is baadddd!!! btw guys....somebody got a hairdo in mcloedganj......and that person is...none other than our rockboll aka dumbell (as he is popularly known...better ask him the story behind that interesting name...). Will give u the story behind the hair style though....next day after the trek...dumbell had a dream where he saw dalai lama suggesting him to stand up against global terrorism and do something about global warming....thats the time when he got up and rushed towards the only barber shop on that street! gave extra 10 bucks to the barber guy...and got his head shaved!!!! Inspiring enuff??

nice story dude...btw for all ppl here this guy freakynut aka chauva is the mascot of our batch he gets more cheering for any small trivial act he does than India gets on winning the 2020 cup...and he also managed to make a lot more fans or so called chauvas on our trip to Mcleod..
Coming to college affairs, on 28th we have a festival here called Illumina and preparations for that are in full swing. freakynut, bombardier and myself will be the security personnel for that...so u can expect a bloodbath in case anyone strays too much
