Campus looking slightly dull as seniors have left for their batch trip to Kerala. Typically at this time, some sportscomm members would be playing TT, some Bike Bhaiyyas would be playing shuttle, some placom members would be discussing something over a late-night tea. The next 3 days would be different without them.
FOXTROT, the annual dance competition was held yesterday. People grooved and gyrated themselves to various genres of music. The highlight was the performance by the Bike Bhaiyyas though the prize for group performance was won by the Desi Girls, who brought in variety in their performance.

Did a Credit Monitoring Arrangement exercise in Corporate Finance class yesterday. The task was to project the P&L; and Balance Sheet for the next two years using the current year figures on a CMA sheet prepared by the RBI and determine the level of bank financing. Spent 7 hours from 2-9 PM, trying to get the assets and liabilities balanced. In the end, the Prof. was not only satisfied but also gave tips for improvement. He said that not many B-Schools have carried out this kind of exercise.
I was dreading at the prospect of doing such an exercise but in the end there was some decent learning after all.

It's Tour Season at BIM...
The 2nd years,close to 100 of them, have gone to Kerala trip for 3 days.With the kind-of-photos they are updating in FB,it seems they had one of most-cherish-able times of their BIM stint.
And we, the first years, went to 2 different places.One gang went to Kollidam which is 4 to 5 hours from Trichy, and another gang (ours) went to Kodaikannal.This trip was much better than what we had expected earlier.Here,in Trichy, the Sun scorches at its best... We are literally getting roasted 
Hence this Kodaikaanal trip was truly a relief & remarkable to say the least. To name a few,we enjoyed Chilly weather,Cool Breeze,Boat pedaling,Horse ride & Cycle trip - no dearth of of fun ...And we are planning to go to Kerala after the end of our 3rd sem /

The 'one gang' went to Kolli HILLS, not KolliDAM
. In fact Kollidam is less than half an hour from campus. One channel from Kallanai dam goes to Kollidam.There were some others who used the one-day break to go to their hometowns.
'Wealth' is the buzz around the hostels as everyone is busy doing the Wealth Management game as part of Finance Utsav.

The infrastructure here is decent enough as in the basic minimum required for academic and extracurricular activities is in place. Classrooms and hostels are equipped with generator backup, classrooms are airconditioned, there's a ground close to the hostel blocks and a mess where food catering to the requirements of students from all parts of the country is available.

Made an amazing bunch of friends here whom I'll miss aftr leaving nxt month...
Currently most of the 2nd yrs are busy attending committee and club treats , team treats and buddy treats...the Zetetica treat given by the juniors yesterday was awsome! had a nice time..thanks guys :)....eagerly awaiting PRCOM's treat next ;)
wel...apart from all this the one event most of us are eagerly anticipating is..yes...the farewell..which is to be held sometime next week.. also waiting for the Ladies Hostel farewell night which is a chance for just us gals to let our hair down 😉

It's going to be all nostalgic in a few days' time. We'd rather not count the number of days remaining, instead enjoy every single moment.
That time of the year when committee after committee goes for treats. Last night it was PRCOM. 17 members from 1st and 2nd year dined at Ramyas near Central Bus Stand. It was great fun with seniors and juniors pulling each other's legs.Will cherish these moments for long.
Marcethlon, the last event of this academic year,came to an end tonight with Block n Tackle, an event in which teams have to speak both for and against a particular topic. Badly missed being a part of Adzap yesterday as I was in the committee treat.
Farewell party scheduled for 25th. Exams from 31st. Days are flying by. I hope they slow down for some time.
Woke up to a colourful morning. Holi celebrations in campus rocked big time.Splashing different colours on everyone, pulling out the 'late-sleepers' from their rooms and drenching them in a bucket of permanent colour, the morning was total fun.
I write this with a bleeding-heart...The one event that happens at the end of a year that makes you so sad of bereaving your closed-ones... Yeah... Farewell here at BIM today !
The day started today by KC organizing adieu'11 for 2nd years.1st& 2nd years performed Dances on the stage .Seniors are randomly asked to come to stage and asked to say a few words about their friends - Some of them explained about their closed ones as how wonderful they are ,how they would miss BIM,classes,mess,roommates etc..... 2 gals even proposed today to their class mates
Overall,it was a sad evening... But we got the accept the reality !
All the best BIM 26... Have a wonderful Life Ahead !! We'll miss you seniors...
It was great fun watching those dances and songs. I laughed my heart out seeing the way some of the guys dance. The time then came to exchange candles and with seniors wishing us good luck, tears welled up in my eyes when some of my close senior friends gave me some heartfelt advice. Gang after gang posed for photographs and most of us juniors were welcomed in many gangs. No matter how far they go, they will always remain in my heart.
Exams time again
Starting from 31st March the exams fury gonna kick-start and our sleepless nights are calling us... will end by 11th Apr....
The worst part is tomo we have Ind vs Pak Semi final of world cup '11 and day after tomo we have exam

Two exams gone by... Tomo we got eBusiness exam & India vs Srilanka Finals.... we will be writing exam when the first half of match is going on .... Hope India bat second...... Oh,aye.... Exams are manageable like every other time....
Yesterday,the admission process for 28th batch was started .Cannot believe that a year has run by. Wrote my penultimate exam of this 1st year ,Economics, today. Have to write the final exam on Monday - Law - Someone help me deciphering this law English

We started our BIM journey on 5th july 2010 and we'll be completing our first year on 11th April 2011 - 280 days ! Went at a lightening speed...
It was an unexpected relief from my corporate days and my days here at BIM are full of colorful memories right from Freshers party'10 till the Adieu'11, interspersed by classes,assignments,presentations,insomniac exams and last but not least, the Mess food -The one which made us at least 10 KG heavier in these 280 days !!
Everybody will be going for summer internships for the next 2 months and I will be flying to Bhutan for my Intern And the college re-opens on 05th July 2011 😃 😃

It was an unexpected relief from my corporate days and my days here at BIM are full of colorful memories right from Freshers party'10 till the Adieu'11, interspersed by classes,assignments,presentations,insomniac exams and last but not least, the Mess food -The one which made us at least 10 KG heavier in these 280 days !!
Everybody will be going for summer internships for the next 2 months and I will be flying to Bhutan for my Intern
Everyone got his/her summers offer letter today.The placement coordinator for next year was also announced and he happens to be the roommate of puy gvijaykumarg. Majority of us would be starting our summers from 18th itself. That's about a week's time to relax and unwind.
