Cycling our way to health at BIM 😃

And of course, yours truly is behind the camera

This first week of the 2nd trimester has been one of the best weeks of my 3 month life@bim. With classes just slowly picking up - relatively a stress free period after the gruelling exams. These are one of those rare moments you get to decide for yourselves what to do with your day. Had a nice trip to Rockfort, a score of temples and to the kaveri bridge just to watch the river flow in its full spate. A lean period to get ready for the second trimester....now eagerly waiting the full spate of the second trimester..........

@Sathesh_ks While first trimester bombards you with deadlines for all 3 months, second keeps you free for 1.5 months, the placement season strikes and finally the month of December will see lot of academic deadlines staring at you.
First time staying away from home…that also this far..never expected life would be this exciting. Three months past, one trimester over and it feels like I have joined BIM just a few days back. July 1st was the day when I arrived here with bag full of immense curiosity, apprehension and uncertainty. But BIM made me feel like home in no more than a day. The serene atmosphere, a nice accommodation, helpful seniors and strong bonding among friends have made life easier. The first memorable day at BIM is my birthday, my friends here made my day. The Ice Breaking Ceremony was when we all came to know about each other. The 'Farenite' party organized by the senior girls was night to remember. Isai Kaveri, Freshers party, Guruwar events, sports tournaments, are some of the important days that are unforgettable. Studying is fun here. The faculty members try to make the classes as interesting as possible. Missing a class is never an option for me….I have to agree that pressure to perform is one of the major hurdle, but MBA is all about handling such pressure. BIM of course has several ways of rejuvenation as well…Badminton, table tennis, basket ball, throw ball, football, cricket and what not? “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”---this is a saying that every BIMite believes in. The campus vibrates with energy and sprit when there is any event being hosted in our playground. Another aspect is the food. Being a Bengali, I was really scared whether I would be able to adopt with the new fooding habit. But the variety of quality foods being cooked at mess, right from breakfast, lunch to dinner, there was no complaints at all. Life at BIM is extraordinary, seniors told me this and now I am realizing it. Waiting for much more exciting days to come.
Heyyy friends, Gratia is back....BIMs traditional thanksgiving event from juniors to their seniors for all the guidance and warmth they have blessed us with in this wonderful journey. Now where else does one get such a bonding between the batch mates except at BIM :)

And hold it folks.....This time it will be bigger and better

MARWAR !!!!!!! Yaaay !The mega marketing event for the 1st years begins today with a thunderous applause, not just from us, but even from nature as we were blessed with a heavy downpour !!

The entire campus is absorbed in the MARWAR fever , the canopy becomes the sanctum sanctorum for the next 3 days, we work silently on our proposition during class hours, tea breaks become brainstorming sessions ........... Looking forward to the coming days that will be one of the most productive days of my MBA at BIM

Go Marketers Go !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It seems like World War 3 has begun in our campus. A war among all the marketers- “Marwar”, the Flagship event of the Marketing Club “BisMarc” commenced two days back. It is a four day event, where a Business Plan is to be launched, promoted and forecasted. All the PGP1 students are divided into 15 groups and each group is expected to come up with unique business plans. I never saw BIM in this form, it seems like all the groups are injected with energy pills. It has become impossible to differentiate between day and night. Everybody is working hard to give their best and shine among the lot. The elimination round is already over, 8 out of 15 teams have been selected for the upcoming rounds. The competition is getting tougher day by day. Right from unique idea generation, to presentation to promotion, convincing people and selling their products/services – BIM has turned into a real 'Market' place. The seniors and mentors are trying hard to encourage their respective teams and keep their spirits high. Day after tomorrow is the final round, the nail biting moment, where the selected teams should come up with the full business plan and present it infront of the jury members. Winning or losing doesn't matter, the learning here is immense…Wishing all the teams good luck, may the best team wins!!

@sunwinderpal Curious to know who is the guide for the Chevaliers team. The term is a prefix given to the legendary actor Sivaji Ganesan.
@shekys Achal and Jyotsana are their mentors :)
@sunwinderpal They are also upcoming legends.
@shekys I am sure they would be so :)
MARWAR'2012 is on full swing. The teams are literally outdoing each other in terms of creativity and innovation. Its a real treat to be at BIM this time of the year. One could easily feel the pulse and electrifying energy going through the place. Today we are having the gala event, where this year's MARWAR winner will be announced. Can't wait to watch all the action as the teams battle it out for the ultimate marketing prize by impressing the tough jury and defending their ideas by handling the volley of questions thrown at them by the ever curious audiences.

Today, it will be the last team standing.

One question ....... Don't you wish you were here !!!!
@sunwinderpal Judgment Day of MARWAR will always remind me of the 2011 edition. It's special because of this -

So MARWAR'2012, has come to its befitting end. It would be an understatement to say that it was enthralling. With all the ingredients of a pot-boiler, it was rocking and nail-biting all the way till the last moment. Congratulations to the teams who came triumphant over the others. Thanks to BISMARC for organizing such an excellent event with such high professionalism. Cheers to you all !!!!!!!!!!!!

Guys....Results are out......MARWAR is over...but........party abhi baaki hain

Hello guys, after the enthralling MARWAR, it was back to books again. Though its hard to admit, but we are caught in dark dungeons of costing, corporate finance and business research. Today we had a guest lecture by Mr.R Kumar a consultant by profession on the changing business environment. The lecture was quite enlightening and enriching in nature.

Ahemm...Ahemm.....

Now for some twist.......After the marketing event, its time now to flex our muscles with the sports. The awaited annual sporting events start from Sunday and goes on for entire week.
Can't wait to watch the nail biting matches and the glorious winning moments.......

Guys, this place is now rocking with activities. A grave risk to miss it all.

P.S. : Ohh Almighty, please ensure I clear all the papers. I will study sincerely from next trimester.

Hey guys, have a look at some of the memorable moments while MARWAR'2012 was in action. This years MARWAR exceeded every benchmark set hitherto in previous events in terms of all the evaluating standards assigned to this masterpiece.

MARWAR'2013............awaiting your arrival
