Wow....Finally Marwar12 is over.....Really felt the true meaning of team work....Was an absolutely fresh experience in terms of application of new skills (some of them earlier i thought I didnt have) and multitasking.....Was enthralled to be the 1st runner up with the brand name of GREEN THUMB - "Roof top gardening solutions".....
The seniors started getting back after their summer internship, just in time to welcome us. They took us through this new experience, getting us introduced to the BIM culture and way things happen around here. With all that advice , we get to class, and on the very first day we were handed a 20 page marketing case study! We were allotted groups which we would be working in for the entire trimester. Within no time, everyone got down to work with the case. Groups were found all over the canopy, with all the buzz on figures and analyzing SWOT. And this case study fever got us going for the rest of the trimester, with cases being part and parcel of our lives!
Amidst all the buzz on the academics side, we had so much more to do off campus. Table tennis was probably BIM's traditional game, where students played till 2 or 3 am. There was the intra college football and throwball tournament, which had matches being held at 11pm. There was some or the other event which was happening throughout the trimester, which was organized by one of the committees. We have the open air theatre movie shows once in a while, Sunday movie blockbusters that plays English and other language classics, guruvar nights, committee treats and the list goes on. Having nothing to do here at BIM, was probably impossible! “Work hard and Party harder”, was more than apt for the BIMites. At one time of the day people were working on cases, charting out B-plans, taking part in competitions and after all the hard work, they hit the Dhabas, restaurants, café's and the theatres around.
They say time flies when you are having fun, and three months has gone by without me noticing it. I enjoy the academic bit, but truly what we experience and learn outside classrooms is so much more here at BIM!

Thanks to Saravana Krishnan of 28th batch who was kind enough to call me up and tell me to a 'phone commentary'. I was wandering along a Delhi street searching for Sarojini Nagar market and out of the blue came the call. Was happy to pull the legs of the 26 and 27 seniors who had come there to campus.
What a match ! Spikes is more entertaining than any world class volleyball match. The relentless rallies, sharp spikes, fiery fingerings, sensational serves ... it has it all ! I went to watch the match for a brief 10 mins, but couldnt take my eyes off the court and ended up staying there for a whole 100 mins 😃
That's the magic Sportscomm creates every trimester ! Kudos to you !
@Jyotsna... wacht till u watch "SMASH IT" jo!!! am all set for the cheer leading part!! cya at the court in the evening...
p.s. dont forget those ping pongs!! =)
With the advent of the Placement season, Volleyball tournament along with the Badminton pre-match practises set the BIM playground on fire! Nothing could stop our guys!
One of the best entertaining evenings in my BIM life! Courtesy - SPORTSCOMM 29 :)
Clock strikes 1.20 AM. Volleyball matches are about to get over for the day! Hardship for the Sportscomm guys.. Messcomm has provided Hot and Spicy Tomato soup - highly suitable for the chill entry of winter season 😃 Good night friends..
After BISMARC, SPORTSCOM, it was the turn of the mother of all committees, PRCOM to take the center stage with THE DEBATE FORUM (Disclaimer : I am dead when other committee members read this declaration of mine )

: The event was quite good and you Sunwinder rocked it.. Good effort to make it happen and i was amazed at the quality the candidates brought in to the debate table. I hope it is the beginning of many bigger things to come..
The first ever event of PRCOM 29 and it had a good reach. Kudos!!!
Finally, for the first time at BIM - 5 months since joining, am getting a saturday and sunday holiday.. :-)
The season of spikers and smash it! came to an end with the finals on 3rd... four teams Thunderz, aventadors, Huntos and sparklers qualified got for the semi-finals... After the nail biting semi finals, Thunderz and Huntos were up for the final clash.. Both the teams put up a good fight, with Thunderz bagging the cup finally!!
Amazed to hear about the spirit of the juniors in doing new things. Participation in the Vijay TV debate show "Neeyaa Naanaa" and making presence felt in IIM-I and IITB with some close finishes in the annual B-school competitions. As if this is not enough, Gaaru the quizzer alumnus continues his quizzing spree in XIMB, finishing as the winner. Hope this spirit gets infectious and new benchmarks get created in the process for future batches to emulate.
5 days off for PGP -1 to enjoy Diwali.. Seems a well deserved break 😃 Wishing all folks a very happy Diwali.
Hi folks, its been really a while(since July 2nd he he) since i have had the notion of sharing my experience @BIM. well time really flies by here. First day in college is always a sweet memory, we had a ice breaking session which was really fun filled and made me to reaffirm the fact that i have made a wise decision to join here. The first day at class was even more enriching when we were handed over a marketing class which were close to 30 pages and were told to come prepared the next day. That night ended at 2am when we came to conclusion for the case. Following weeks we had so many moments like the trip to local places, marwar which is a marketing event here (where 3hrs of sleep a day becomes the maximum requirement), freshers night, DJ nights etc in addition to those numerous corporate lectures from industry experts to understand the practical application of management education. Never in my life have i imagined that i would not be satisfied with 24 hours a day wish there were more....... well we have our mid term exam starting from tomorrow so its time to fight with the books... will keep updating things as time permits 😛 cheers
Midterm examinations starting from tomorrow. A week long break from the lectures
Visiting my alma mater for a day on December 8, en route to Madurai for a friend's wedding the next day. Got my leaves sanctioned.
