LIFE@ FORE School Of Management

get2top, shounak and prady hav already described the freshers and how much fun it was. Dance, solo songs, bhangra were a few of the performances put up. Baba's teachings were the best. The skit the others have mentioned here was done by me and few others. Thankfully there were very few ppl around wen we performed as it was the first performance. Ande aur tamatar se bach gaye!! :splat:

I wud like to share a few teachings by Baba here to educate others also. Aakhir jo gyaan mila hai woh baatna bhi tho chaahiye.

About specialization - "na marketing ki baat hai, na ye finance ki baat hai.........FORE me kisko kya mila,ye bas chance ki baat hai..."

About Anubhuti - "Na T-shirt mein aana, Na jeans tight mein aana, aana aana mere bachhon grey and white mein aana..."

Then it was the DJ. First party here so we danced so hard that finally we were out of breath. Only complaint was tht it had to end so soon. Food was arranged, but many skipped food, and others had food and then went back to dancing and having fun. Many went out after the masti at college and continued the fun :drinking:. Unfortunately I could not go and over tht suffered a lot after coming back to hostel. No power supply, and tht too only in our floor (due to some repair work going on)!!! Finally had to go and sleep in friends room in another floor. So after the party it was hell let loose!!

Waiting for the thanksgiving now, which will be someplace outside
, for even better partying. 😃 :)

Then we had the first Anubhuti session organized by the CID team today. As get2top has already mentioned, Mr. Anil Munjal, GM HR of Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. was the chief guest. Classes were over by 1PM, so we, a gang of 9, had gone out for lunch. Was very tired after tht. Also after so many days it rained here and climate was cool, optimum and awesome for a good nap. So I slept throughout , though with eyes closed and I'm almost sure he saw me. get2top itself is witness to that as he was sitting behind me!! Yet to learn the technique to sleep wit eyes open!! And maybe bcoz he saw me and many others like me he wound up the session in 45 mins!!

Meanwhile almost all the committees are out with the final list of junior members. I form a part of the group who didnt make it to any of the committees!! 😞 😞 Got chucked out in 3rd round for FCD. As FCD 3rd round was gng on I was not allowed to attend even the 1st round of Nexus process. ANTAR gave brief hopes after a successful run till last round but then didnt make it to final list as only 6 can be taken out of the 10 in last round (This they did based on our preference order for each committee I believe). And they had a tough time choosing the 6 bcoz of the exceptional performance beyond all expectations by all 10 of us. So finally it got decided that unofficially the remaining 4 also will still be part of the team and its activities. So something to look forward to other than studies.

P.S: Sorry for the long post!! See ya

to correct a few details.... in d above cricket match, we needed 3 runs of 1 ball..and last ball was a no ball in which we took 2 runs also... but no ball was not given, and the match was tied... i and shaunak were on the crease at that time...

Done wid my mid sem exam of SCM today :-(

The cricket practice sessions are in full swing Juniors are full of enthu and very busy in making their final teams...It seems we would have tough competition being defending champions

meanwhile a lot of presentations and assignments scheduled ahead so life is busy once again after summers

Cricket matches on...8 overs, 8 players/team. Super 8 tournament is in full swing.

I'm not participating but I went in as cheerleader (in jeans and Tee ). Some strong teams who have gelled together pretty fast, some having a bad day on the field... Quite a few individual stars also.

Team names are unique..Spartans, High Flyers, Kiss Of Death etc battling it out in the hot sun.. Looking forward for more exciting ones ahead..

Classes and Cricket both are in full swing now
My team has reached in to the quarterfinals
Meanwhile a lot of project work and assignments are going on...last Friday we had photo sessions for the placement brochure ...iske baad to placements ka bhi tension aane laga hai :-(

Thanks a lot Ravi sir.
This thread will not go to a dead zone as long as we juniors are there.
It's been a cloudy week at Delhi here and I have not been to college for the last 2 days.Had been sleeping the whole morning and missed all my classes .
Our Midterms are coming up from 10th.Got to get in the groove of studying now 😞 .
Tomorrow we got the last of the 2 quater finals and the semi finals too.
May be the finals will be after the midterm.
It's been a great experience organising the cricket tournament, specially the interaction will all the team members :-P. Hoping for a thrilling end to this fantastic tournament.

Today there is convocation of our seniors. Chanda Kochar, MD and CEO of ICICI Bank is the chief guest

And no classes for us tomo and this is the gud news
Hope to meet some of the seniors tomo in the college and get to know about life after MBA meanwhile got some quizzes and tests in the coming week so uske liye bhi padai karni hai 😞

Be the change! Chanda Kocchar enthuses MBA grads at FORE | MBAUniverse.com

As try4it has mentioned above, Ms Chanda Kochhar was at college on Friday 6th August 2010, as chief guest for the Annual Convocation ceremony of batch 2008-10. Me and 2 others did a Rangoli at the reception area as part of the decorations. Attached is a pic of that.

After doing that went for a treat by the senior members of TEAM ANTAR. Had an awesome lunch and then we went on to Qutub Minar. Its just around 10mins from our college/hostel but still it was my first time only!! And it was the 4th consecutive day I was hanging out. Had a great time there taking some snaps and then sitting down and playing dumb charades in the garden. Awesome fun and a great day.

Back to hostel and its study time (supposedly) for mid terms coming up on Tuesday, 10th August. Its Monday morning and I'm still where I started!! Bahut time baaki hai abhi!!

Counting the days and waiting for next weekend. Its gonna be the first completely free weekend we're gonna have after coming here. Nothing to study, no assignments, no quiz to prepare for, no project work, no presentation.. Free birds!!
Planning on some trip outside Delhi or go for the Independence day parade. Yet to decide!

P.S: Jab tak ham hai iss thread ko sone nahi denge!! Bakar rules!

Couldn't find the edit option. Missed to attach the Rangoli pic. Here it is

Couldn't find the edit option. Missed to attach the Rangoli pic in previous post.

Still it did not come. :banghead: Need edit option here.

Hope this time it comes.

@Ajay: A very nice Rangoli dude

Had an exam of SCM today
Now this whole week is renamed as projects and assignments week...mid sem exams for juniors are also going on...I hope they are enjoying it

Its study time here. Mid term exams have kicked off today.

Will miss the vela time and hours of sleep for the next few days.

Today was DMM (Decision Making Models) a paper on Operations for us, FMG students, and Quantitative Techniques for IMG people.
Tomorrow its Marketing Management-1 and Managerial Accounting.

Sleepless nights ahead.

@ Ajay: same here for seniors as well...2 surprise quizzes ho gaye aaj au hum to sach me surprised bhi ho gaye apne performance se 😞

Submission of 2 project reports tomo and a presentation in Supply and Distribution management...matlab fultoo waat

First mid term exams are finally over.

Initially after first 3 papers I thought that all the tension and fuss made was unnecessary. The papers were very easy and it was just lack of proper effort and prep from my side if I don't get good marks. That was immediately after DMM, Marketing and Accounts.

But then along came the last 2 days. Seriously made me feel damn stupid!! HBO, BIT and MCOM were hell!! 😞 Hope I'll be able to get at least digit marks!! :-(

Anyways its all over now. Next up end term exams in 1 months time!!

Today only I came back from home...had gone for Rakhi

After mid sem exams it's time for projects and assignments submission before the term ends So quite a hectic schedule looks ahead...Placements time is also approaching fast

All juniors are busy in their classes and presentations jise dekhke hume bhi 1st year ki yaad aa jati hai kabhi kabhi

This weekend we are going to have a big Delhi PG meet in which estranged_gnrs aka Rohit Awasthi is coming down to Delhi. So all puys from FORE are invited to attend the meet
