14 more days for the summers ...work is getting hectic .. as all the recommendations that I had given are in the phase of getting implemented .. I am spending much time thinking about the possible shortcomings of my plan ... It somehow sounds good to me .. hope it works out fine ..
Ashwin and vivek are also nearly done with their projects .. same is the case with pritam and abhishek...We will be on a vacation for 24 odd days .. then back to GIM ..
Electives list has come .. we have to decide on the courses that we want to take .. rather electives that we want to take .. Its a very critical time .. and a very confusing time indeed... as what we do now .. will change the course of our life in the days to come ...
Was always sure about taking marketing .. so have taken marketing as my major and have distributed the minors amongst operations finance and systems ... so doing a sort of "global mba" rather in GIM lingo both the terms are synonyms
hey seniors
I you are away from GIM for long time then refresh your memory with these beautiful GIM pics

Hi Frens,
The first thought that came to my mind at the GIM campuse ws..ohh thats it ..this is the end of the campus???. But after spending 4-5 days I realised thats not the case. The campus has everything in it. Its a nice green and beautiful campus. From my room I can see all the shades of green. Amongst them there is the red shade of admin roof top. Just as we go to the academic block below you feel how nice is the campus. The academic block has these series of big doors in the corridor. One of them being my class room The best thing here is the blend of old and new. The building has its old architecture which makes it grand and all the facilities/amenities make it comfortable. Standing at the gate, its nice to watch the mandovi river ,even visible from academic block. The best part is the peaceful atmosphere here..silent yet so fresh and active... I m falling in love with this place slowly...
Before coming to GIM I had my apprehensions of joining GIM although I had a call converted from TAPMI and K J SOM. But after coming here all my apprehensions have gone. Everyone so generous and helpful out here. Internet on my laptop was not working in my room so the system administrator came to my room without asking and did they settings on my system to make it work. Today I went to the library to read the news paper and the madam there told me about the entire library without asking. Such nice gestures I didnt get newhere during my previous school or college life. Hats of to GIM. GIM Rocks.

Hi ..
That was one thing that struck me when I joined GIM last year .. I think I mentioned this in one of my posts last year .. Another point that I noticed here was everyone has such a excellent memory .. They remember your names .. From the mess boys to joe .. to kailash to jaggu to the college staff .. if you ever tlk to them , they are going to definitely remember your name ..
I found this to be unique .. GIM rocks
I agree with aspire, i ralised it now.everyone remembers my name along with surname.. mary in mess, boys in mess, sabby here at the hostel
Without wasting my time in trying to sound uhmmm "right"..I'll just go with what my heart has to say..GIM is simply awesome! Surely infra-wise we could do a bit more especially to cope with these rainy seasons, but everything else is phenomenal..The greenery, Mandovi, the classrooms & library (yes yes i checked them out ), the location (proximity to Panjim market and Miramar beach
), the non-veg food at the mess..
Been here for just 5 days now, I already know most of the people here..from Anmol, Bhupinder at the mess to Kailash to Joe and Shyam at Gene's More importantly and unbelievably, they know me (and most of us) well too..Brilliant people..
Also have been very fortunate to get some incredibly nice batchmates. If an outsider sees us together, he/she can't possibly say that we've hardly known each other for 5-odd days..this is how brilliant the chemistry has been and i personally believe that this has been the most important achievement for most of us. Just to add to this, we've already had 2 awesome parties in the past 2 days (Where else but OT )..
GIM truly truly rocks!!
The place is simply beautiful ... Welcome to GOA , Welcome to the small picturesque town of RAIBANDAR on the banks of beautiful river Mandovi ( which has inspired poets and lovers ...hope seniors will agree 😉 ), Welcome to 300 years old Heritage Hospital Building complex (One of my collegue in ex company was born here:wow:)......... Welcome to The Goa Institute Of Management !
Almost 90 % of the batch of PGDBM 2009 has arrived on the campus and the campus wch was dormant for 2.5 months has come to life ... to such extent tht even the Morgue will come to life :).
All are adjusting with their rooms n roomies ... some are finding it strange to find themselves in small rooms n some are not happy with Hilltop ... but the overall mood is upbeat ...
Grls are happy to get WiFi in LH and we in OT will have to manage without one

Remedials have started ... and strangely engineers lik Mr Kamats lectures mre den students from other bckgrnd ...heee.... Mr Kamat is a lake of knowledge
Classes are stating with orientation from 21st and all are eagerly looking forward for being taught by the esteemed faculty of GIM ...
GIM Rocks !
The moment i stepped into this heritage structure i felt i am back home. it is the same kind of comfort one cherishes, after coming back home from a long and tiresome journey. Our home (as we all refer it with pride) is as peaceful and accommodating as an old monks home and is always bursting with energy, excitement and youth like a young explorer's workshop.
With so many new faces on campus we all find it a bit difficult to remember each others name accurately.. but the people out here at joe's, kailash, etc. call us by our first name. That to me is incredible.
The Mandovi is awesome... its calmness gives u peace. The panjim city is 10 minutes away with loads to explore and great places to eat. Everyone in Goa has a smile on their face as they talk and that is what maks the city so approachable.. and appealing....
I think the journey that ended at GIM was like a home coming to me.... and i guess i will have to travel back home for the rest of my life to gain the energy, determination, will and desire to travel further.
