ADMISSIONS 2011
Just to inform you that GIM admission application process in finally open.
It has been delayed quite a bit this year.
The payment for the application is Rs 1250/- till 3rd Dec 2010 and Rs
1550/- from 4th Dec till 31st Dec 2010. We close the application process
on the 31st Dec 2010. This year students have an option on either paying
online through credit/ debit cards or net banking; and offline by paying
at ICICI Bank branches anywhere in the country (so no hassle of making
DD's). There is no facility of paying directly to the GIM admissions/
admin office or through coaching centres such as IMS/ TIME.
Applicants should call the admissions office for clarifications

The admission process for next batch started.Quite eager to help the would-be PGP1s with their processes and yes very much excited about becoming seniors. 
Apart from this,people here are feeling the heat with 2 major submissions lined up for 24 th.3-4 Quizzes.Presentations.All set for this week only.:wow:
Everyone is singing the tunes of "Jaane kya hoga Rama re,jane kya hoga maula re".:banghead:
However,I am sure we are gonna come again with flying colors, being victorious over the project submissions and rejoicing our glory on the coming weekend in Baga .

Its time to party....one of the section from 2010-12 batch is going on picnic to Palolem on 28th Nov....wish all of the batch could have been invited but alas managing such a big affair is not an easy game..newaz hope Razzies hear dis plea soon and arrange a rocking party somtm soon as dey always do :))
I am back . So now life is a bit more chilled out. Almost all submissions done. Fewer lectures and lesser submissions. We had this event called "The Arena" by MECCA yesterday. All those who participated had a blast. Today being a thursday it is a relaxing day. Thursdays usually have a few to no lectures :clap:. So we are all doing our own thing and relaxing, some people studying, some going for a picnic :clap:
The party-goers are back to the business i.e. submissions and the presentations.However,there is no pressure,everyone seems to enjoy making Macro presentations and making video clips of movies of Lagaan,Chakde for Inter Group Processes subjects .Everyone has become master in movie making so there is option of directing one in the future.:cheerio:
After the spectacular show by MECCA on Ambush Marketing b/w KFC and McDonalds,there is buzz for the upcoming events by the Clubs Brainvista(Quiz on Incredible India),IT@GIM(Pathfinder) and Kshitiz(will make us to keep our creative hats on).:thumbsup:
And the adage "GIM never Sleeps" holds true .
A bit late in the day but here's to IT@GIM for an amazing event...Hope to see more quizzes like the same...

Gnosis- an online quiz for future MBA aspirants. The quiz will be based on trivia, general knowledge and of course, institutional awareness and will challenge the presence of mind and readiness of the candidates. The event has been scheduled to be held from the 10th- 12th of December 2010. Needless to say, several attractive prizes await the winners.

:cheerio:Aseem Sharma and Cedric De Menezes were Runners-up in Anterprerna 2010, a marketing plan event organized by the School of Health System Studies at Tata Institute of Social Sciences Mumbaiat their annual academic fest Clairvoyance held on 11th December 2010.
:cheerio:Poojan Shah and Srinivasan Margabandu were Runners up in BIZZWARS an economics, business & finance related competition organized by of IBS Hyderabad at their annual festival Trishna. GIM was represented by 6 students in various events at IBS.

The new campus is shaping up pretty well. Today we got the new tshirts as
"Pioneers of the Sanquelim Campus"
On the academic front there are not many lectures schedule this week and post this we have a holiday for 4 days for the end terms
.Post which we have a much required 10 day break before the 3rd trimester beckons.
The distance to Aunty Maria's & Nescafe is farther...but the visits there are still as frequent.... 
...which reminds me of the fact thatI have the evening free :cheerio:

Hey Rakesh none of us are sir over here....all of us are PGP1s & PGP2s
The new campus is located at Sanquelim which is an hour away from the old campus at ribandar. Our new campus is 50 acres.
It has a lot of new facilities - a bigger Cafeteria and library.
Amphitheatre
Multipurpose auditorium
Recreational block with Swimming pool, squash Court, Badminton, Football field, Table Tennis ...and lot more outdoor and indoor sports.( Work in Progress)
There are many new facilities which you would know when you come here.
There is also an ATM and a coffee shop coming on campus
Term 5 almost coming to an end for the PGP2z...End term examz start from tomorrow and we almost have no term break at all with term 6 resuming on the 27th.
This reminds me that its only 3 more months at this wonderful place.. The thought of leaving this place is one thing which we absolutely don't want to think about at this stage.
But looking back at the past one and a half years.. It's been an awesome journey so far. A journey which will always bring a smile across your face when ever you think of it.
So right now, it's time to relive those moments..and make the last leg of the GIM journey a memorable one..
