Interacted with a lot of seniors and this is the inputs that i Got.. Major..10 subjects to be taken Minor...5 subjects mandatory Option..4 more courses which can be taken in the minor stream itself or can be taken from another stream..
For ex...this could be a combo Major ops: 10 sub Minor Mktg: 5 sub Fin:4 sub... this is just an example..various other P&C; can also be tried...
You have the freedom to choose the major and minor with the only criteria being that atleast 20 odd people should select your subject as the major..ie if ur taking Finance the batch shud have atleast 20 ppl taking Fin major..
first went to the library...seemed to be a neat and organized one with a lot of CD's and stuff which i was informed can be borrowed...dint check out what the cd's were though...there seemed to be enough books..but only time will tell...
Next went to Veeranam.....this is a classroom where classes don't usually take place and where Glakers hang out and do assignments and stuff...was informed that few of them even sleep there and lot of them seemed to have spent countless nights there doing assignments and projects...best part..the room is air conditioned(chennai humidity is just brilliant!) and the seats are comfy enough to spend hours...the place also has two carrom boards...
Next was the gym...seemed pretty decent with weights strewn around all over...not very hi fi but guess it would serve the purpose...
Dint get a chance to visit the audi...went around with a senior looking at a few houses..spoke to a few and the general feel is that for a decent 2 bedroom house one might have to shell out anywhere between 10 - 15k monthly apart from electricity and maintainance and also need to provide an advance which can be between 5 months to 10 months of rent...:nervous:
totally need to take 19 electives... @Unkindmonk..pls correct if wrong...
Cheers Rj
You are spot on my friend........what @nostalguiz posted is exactly wht happened this year in terms of electives (guess he has done his homework well!) and the good news is that unlike us you have clarity about it even before u have joined.......Keep the good wrk ppl!!
Hi Guys Is there any specified number of seats for each major, ie after reaching a particular limit say 70; no more additional seats are available. Also are all electives available in all sems after sem 4 provided the number of students are greater than 20.
