thanks dude here are the vital stats, i've got calls from TAPMI, BIM, SDM & waiting MICA , which is a formality coz my VA scores are 99.9-XAT, 99.6-CAT.

hey i have seen several guys missed call from sdm just coz they got under 60 in grads....
this shows sdmimd is a smart bschool which starts management lessons from admission process itself
any bschool which look for candidates with 60+ marks in grad specify it clearly while advertising the admissions
.....if any body has any doubt ,check ifmr and iit advertisements.....
for all those which talk about grad percent with out specifying in ads are just doing the business....
with the only aim of making money...
whether it is a society with 40+ institutions or not( as a friend posted) , money is all they look for..

This whole discussions going on with regard to 60 % cut-off is not complete.I will add something to that.....
1. 60 % is not a n absolute cut-off and it is not absolute by itself(see 4).
2.Many people have been given calls who have just above 55 % or more.(Exact details are not known) but three candidates are there,whom I personally know.This is again based on their excellent work experience or other factore.
3. Most of the B/B+ institutes are following the same(but they are not publicising this policy) while they select candidates coz the institute is liable for placing those MBA grads with very poor grad academics which the people who post here never consider.
4. A 51 % grad from Bombay university is far better than a 70 % from some other universities, and so the institute cannot make 60 % an absolute cut-off.
I request you guys to please consider the above while you post such messages.

tats unfair... der are many who are dammn good in studies but dont score in xams... whut bout dam eh ?... though 50 percent ... score criteria is reAs0nablE..

hey i have got a call from sdmimd for GD/PI on 21st feb at delhi i have 73%ile in cat, 63 in graduation,68 in XII and just 56 in X .
what do the panel see for selecting a student , i have: also played tennis at national level ,been the school house captain,was patrol leader in scouts,and doing my graduation from biotech.does these things help out for selection.:wow:

I am Naveen Mutnal got call from SDMIMD for GD and PI. It is on 26th feb. I have work ex in agriculture(We r landlords) of 10-12 months after completing my engineering in 2005. So I want u guys to guide me about GD and PI with some usefull tips for the same..

hi seniours give us some insight into PIs.........r they necessarlly from academics as mentioned in call letter.or can they b any topic underthe sky.......like why mba? why sdm? descripe abt urself?.etc or:grab:is it about purely academics..........:wow:

i had my Gd/Pi today at chennai.
The Gd topic was : Recent turnaround in the Indian railways.
Essay Topic: The WTO and India
My contribution to the Gd - Cost Cutting Employed , Environmental issues (use of mud cups), Auto up gradation ,ATM Machine Installation and Online Booking.
all the members had a share of the talk time..was a smooth GD.
The PI was the area of concern , They asked me mostly irrelevant tech q.. about accounting,balance account(me doing my B.E. comp science),deferential equations use in application development.. etc and it lasted only around 10 mins.( I am really worried about this 😞 )

gd was quite smooth.......its like 10 people 10 minutes.thts the funda regarding gd time period.......interv was next.....overall panel was very cordial.....being a agri student i was asked only general questions like why mba?:

Had my GD/PI on Feb 11th.The topic for the essay was "privatisation willl ensure quality of goods and services in India".The essay was for 15 mins .Then Gd topic was "WTO and India"
??: .PI was genarlly about work ex ,few questions in math.(wat is mean , median mode..)and lots of questions related to prinicples of management.(i had this paper in 7th sem of engg)..Also what was WTO called earlier - answered it correctly as GATT but did not know expansion.Also what does the WTO essentially do?My Pi was for close to 15-20 mins??:
