i have my gd/pi on 26th(it is mentioned- tentative) now what does that mean......it's 16th today and no confirmation of dates nor any mention for the venue of gd/pi(i have mine in bangalore)
can anybody throw some light on this..........is there anybody who has gd/pi in b'lore

dont worry......they will inform u like 4-5 days before in the site itself and also u will get a courier .....it was the same case for us with gd at kochi.....also dates were given tentatively.........

hey friends.. jus one thing.. read 'management compass' magzine for GDs.. dont waste much time in newspapers... go through graduation textbooks.. @ALL

Seniors, its only less than 10 days now left for the GDPI at Bangalore. But still, the venue is yet to be confirmed. How can I plan my journey since I have to come all the way from Chennai for attending the GDPI. think the officials have become lethargic on this aspect. No updates on the websites and even if I call, there is no proper response. And I really dont know how to plan from Chennai for the gdpi on 28th without knowing the time and venue.

i have seen a post to read 'management compass' magazine for gd/pi.
as i have net access in office and can spend a few minutes browzing, is there any particular website which can be referred which is informative for gds.

hi, i think pagalguy itself has a link on gd/pi,but u can also visit solidgyan.com,cflogic.com for gd/pi stuff

Thanks Abhishek for ur help.. also, in the website the tentative timing for gdpi is given as 9 am.. is it possible for me to get this changed to any slot at a later time? coz i'll be reaching bangalore only on 28th morning and in case there is a delay, and if the gdpi center is far away from where i stay, it'll be difficult to catch up in the morning.. so it ud be of help if u can spk on this regard also. as i have applied leave in office for many other gdpis too, its not possible to come to bangalore a day in advance.

pls understand my situation and help.. meanwhile, i'll call u up tonight and get the updates.. thanks..

Hi PG's Thanks for the all the information about SDMIMD that u have provided here.. I got call from SDM for GD and PI. Its on 26th feb. Are they going to filter in GD? What r the probable questions in PI? How many students they have shortlisted for GD&PI; last time(I am mean what is selection ratio from GD&PI; to final)? Waiting for guidance..

For the first 2 questions of ur's kindly go thru the answers that have already been given by me to anees and others and for the third question regarding availability of forms u can purchase them from the TIME and CL coaching centres or u can also download it from our website SDMIMD.

i am sure all sdm applicants are aware that the gd/pi info has been refreshed
my gd/pi dates have been resheduled and it is now on 1st march,bangalore-indiranagar(it was 26th feb previously)......thankfully the dates were not pre poned.
any idea which is the last date for the gd/pi's process......that might give some idea about the date of results as the next step would be admissions and the money factor(are we allowed to discuss how people are planning to make the payments,any info on educational loans would certainly be very helpful........i know it might be too early....but....)

anyways best of luck to all of u for the gd/pi's

hey friends the one who have a GD/PI lined up.please read the news paper very carefully(esp.. front page).:grab: :grab:
i had my GD/PI on 21st feb. the GD topic was " shifting from EEE to EET will affect saving rate drastically"( the front page news in TOI today) and the essay topic was mulayam govt. dissmisal will effect congress at centre or not-just had 4 min. to write.

and the final showdown is the interview please remember u know your acads well it will the one thing that'll make your ship sail.

hey there guys...would like to share my GD/PI experience with ya'll...i had my GD/PI on 19th FEB at Mumbai Bhavans campus..out topic for GD was "Ratan Tata is an undisputed leader"...GD lasted for 10 mins approx. as per instructed....our essay topic was "SDM-IMD is the best"....we were given 5 mins for the essay..then came the PIs...
well this was my main area of concern, coz interviews of some candidates lasted for less than 5 mins and for some it lasted for about 10 mins...as of mine, my interview lasted for about 4 to 5 mins...
I was not asked a single conventional question like "Introduce urself", "Why MBA"...and all such questions were not asked...and in between of interview there came a time when two panel members started a discussion witin themselves...when i was asked bout my fav subject being a commerce undregrad i answered ECONOMICS..they asked me jus one que on economics, which was "what is parallel economy", at first i told dat i dont kno bout it, but dan it suddenly struct me dat i kno da answer bt wasnt sure, i answered it and it turned out to be correct as i was almost sure dat it would turn out to be correct...previous to this only basic ques were askd lyk wer r u doin ur gradn from..and stuff like dat...As the interview turned out to be brief dan what i expected i'm very nervous, coz i guess in most cases if ur interview lasts for less time its either "Confirm YES" or its "Confirm NO"..Bt one thing in my favour is dat i participated da most in GD, and provided new dimentions in GD...i hope this info helps all of u who are yet to appear for GD/PI....all the luck to ya'll...PEACE.....

Can anyone please tell me dat how much chances do i stand of gettyn shortlisted for the programme with following stats..
1) 78.31%ile in cat
2) 73% in SSC
3) 80% in HSC
4) m undergrad commerce studnt with avg of 64% of FY and SY Bcom.
5) Maximum and valuable contribution in GD.
6) just 4-5 mins of personal interview.

I am scared to death b'coz of breivity of my interview...i really thot dat my PI would last for minimum 8-10 mins bt it was surprisingly brief...during my interview i realised and noticed dat one of the panel member was averaging my FYBCOM and SYBOM percentage to ascertain dat they are 60% or not...anyone whos already pursuing mba from sdm-imd please help me out guys....help me out guyzzzz please....
