I think all the selected candidates must have got the call letter or email confirmation and its clearly mentioned there that what will be the amount which wll be refunded in case of any cancellation. Second issue Plecements- As i have already mentioned in my previous posts that college doesn't believe in promotion and don't releases placements figure in press.But for your convenience we are maintaining the database of the companies which have recruited from campus. Apart from these companies around 8 more companies are coming to campus for recruitment and one of the company has a pay package of 16 lacs pa (after tax) i,e its around Rs 1,30,000 per month (in hand salary). Till now Avg domestic salary is 5.5 lacs pa, highest domestic sals is 8.5 lacs pa and min sal is 3.3 lacs pa. I think now the placement scene is quite transparent and guys one thing i can asure u that placements will get better year after year. If u people have any other query then feel free to post

all the people who doesnt come under merit list and first waitlist will be put under the waitlist number 2
there isnt any message like not selected for any of those who attended for gd and pi for every one its a synonym if ther is a message stating that u r in second waitlist

For those confused souls like me now, there's some info here. Spoke with the admissions office now and checked about the refund amount. They told in case we dont pay the fees before 15th March, admission stands cancelled. If we cancel after 15th March due to other better calls, they refund only the refundable part of it (Rs 7000 towards tuition and Rs 5000 towards hostel). So they'll be refunding only Rs 12000 out of the Rs 94000 that we pay. And they are also not ready to extend the date beyond 15th March for confirmation. Was disappointed after hearing this. Why dont these ppl understand our situations yaar!! Atleast the seniors must know that these are bound to happen every year and they should speak with the admissions in-charge. So what are u ppl going to do? I have no clue on what to do. This is a good college I have no doubt in that. But obviously, anyone would like to choose the best option that he has. Right? Since other results are on queue, why are not they giving us some more time to think and decide? Really ridiculous.
i also agree wit u inspite of being a good institute they must understand the condition of a student who after a hard work of probably a year or so can't take decision straight away of joining when th better institute's result is still awaited.
i m requesting all the seniors at sdm to kindly put some pressure at the admission office regarding the selected students to pay 94k b4 15th of march as the good students waiting 4 other institutes result will not b able to join sdm and in casw if they cud make through other institute then they will not b given opportunity to join sdm later on leading to the loss of both srudents as well as institute as they will not b getting good student. seniors plz wake up and help the juniors to take the toughest decision of there life
Hi, I have been selected and i have a few queries: 1) Is the college open this Saturday Mar 10. I thot to pay the fees. Till what time is the office open. 2) what is the dress code followed. 3) R single rooms available to all the students? 4) Do i have to submit the certificates before joining, i am still working. I can produce it some time in April when i quit. Please clarify these doubts.
1. refund wud be upto Rs.12000 and not a penny more, this is a decision of the head office and even the admissions chair cannot do anything bout this, u might contact the head office if u want a refund.
2. both wait lists have 60 students each. a total of 1116 calls were made for GD/PI and the final calls have been given to 120+60+60= 240students which is sufficient enough to prove that everyone who attended GD and PI has not been given a call.
3. we have a beautiful campus and the hstl has separate rooms for every student. dress code is formal and u need to address the seniors as Sir/ madam.
4. for ppl in the second list, ur selection wud basically depend on the number of students who join from the merit list and the first waiting list.
Ppl, even we went thru this dilemma of selecting one institute over the other as we had to pay the fees in advance, its a practice followed by all institutes. it finally depends on u where u want to join.

Hi Seniors...is buying a laptop/computer a must..is it neccessary to buy in 1st yr iyself or 2nd yr?if laptop is preffered then which company do u suugest(i mean which one max. SDMIMDians preffer).Is it better to buy from cllege(as its mentioned that vendors r there)or we should nuy it on our own..plz pm the configurations required/model name etc.. thanks

i mean i think there are only 3 messages as of now they being 1.selected and pay the fees 2.u r in waiting list 1 3.u r in waiting list 2
There is no third list, the merit list and the two waiting lists are already out and no other list wud be there.
Regarding laptop, college wud arrange for it, we all purchased dell laptops for about 12000rs less than the market price. if u want u can purchase it on ur own. however it is mandatory to have a laptop.
