Lots of queires regarding the refund of fees.
I think all the selected candidates must have got the call letter or email confirmation and its clearly mentioned there that what will be the amount which wll be refunded in case of any cancellation.
Second issue Plecements-

Apart from these companies around 8 more companies are coming to campus for recruitment and one of the company has a pay package of 16 lacs pa (after tax) i,e its around Rs 1,30,000 per month (in hand salary).
Till now Avg domestic salary is 5.5 lacs pa, highest domestic sals is 8.5 lacs pa and min sal is 3.3 lacs pa.
I think now the placement scene is quite transparent and guys one thing i can asure u that placements will get better year after year.

all the people who doesnt come under merit list and first waitlist will be put under the waitlist number 2
there isnt any message like not selected for any of those who attended for gd and pi for every one its a synonym if ther is a message stating that u r in second waitlist
so this means there is only 1 list of selected candidates and waitlist 1 and rest everyone is in waitlist 2 thats too bad

U have got it wrong dude... In the Merit-List there are 120 students and 60 each in Wait-list 1 and Wait-list 2.... Wait-List 1 candidates will get a chance when candidates in Merit-list opt out... Similar is the case with Wait-list 2...

this is the first time i am posting on the thread here. hadnt so far, becasue i had applied to sdmimd simply coz a cousin suggested it, attended the GD PI wen got a call and wasnt seriously following up with the events here. i did not consider sdmimd as a serious option at all.
that was until i visited the campus last saturday after i was offered admission (again, 'simply' coz mysore isnt too far a drive from b'lore). and guys, i have to say, i was way too impressed.
the infrastructure 's great! the classrooms are swanky. the hostel's neat. the faculty, officails, hostel matron, seniors, peons , workers there all were very curteous and friendly. the environment is very homelike. (the place was a refreshing visit after the TAPMI disillusionment)
coming down to business, i did a lot of personal research after that. the placement figures are decent and seem to be improving every year. the point is, that its a progressive institute, so unlike a long-established , stagnant college, sdmimd strives to get better every year; which is SO much better than just living with an old brand name.
all in all, i'd like to say that now i am seriosuly considering sdm as one of my good options, i might as well cough up that huge sum they are askin for! cant help feeling its worth the risk.

FMS, dude (20k for 2 yrs)! among the realistic options, K J Somaiya. they wrok out for 4L at most, includin everything.

as far as i know all other people attended for gd pi are listed under wailist 2 but u r saying even waitlist 2 has got only 60 members
please make it sure and post again
because i have called up admision office and what they said is all listed under WL 2 and afterwards the mesage will be changed
