@Sampreith are u sure about what u said because as u said the merit list has 120 members and then the first waitlist has 60 members and then comes the confusion as far as i know all other people attended for gd pi are listed under wailist 2 but u r saying even waitlist 2 has got only 60 members please make it sure and post again because i have called up admision office and what they said is all listed under WL 2 and afterwards the mesage will be changed by the way i am in Waitlist 2 @sursharma would be thankful to u if u could find out for certain and post here

The trend will be visible only after 10-15 days.As of now we can say that around 20 people in WL 2 have fair chances.I am not sure as tomoro is the last date for merit list to remit their fees. Till now the response from the merit list of 120 has been phenomenal.We can wait for another 240 hours for more... muralee

Its really getting hard to predict wat chances do the aspirants from WL-2 stand. now as the deadline for the aspirants in merit list is done may be people pl post ur choices as in how many have forfiet there seat for better colleges .. i am really desperate !! seniors pl suggest wat chances do guys from WL-2 stand?? thanks

Dear friend Can u pl substantiate how did u reach this judgement ..as 20 people from WL-2 stand a chance ? if at all this is just an assumption pl state the rationale behind would be thankful to you ...any awareness about the last yr records pl share.. I would appreciate it!!
Hi Seniors, I am in waiting list 2. I want know what is the possibility of getting a call from SDM? One of our TIME faculty told me that there is good chance of getting a call once if u r in waiting list. He told one example of IIML, In which intake is 180 they shortlist about 800 aspirants.. So I am desperate to whether there is any chance of getting a call for waiting list 2 aspirants? What about last year's situation? Please reply..
And I also I would like know till date how many apsirants who r in the final list got enrolled.. They not mentioned any for no. for waiting list candidates. then how they r going to call?
Hey Aravind, Nice query.I would say that 20 ppl have sure chances as per past admissions. I agree that, this year everything has changed..no: of calls..quality of students in terms of workexp,diversity of background..etc.But I feel that if 120+60+60 is the breakup of meritlist,WL1,WL2 40+60+20 is the minimum i can think of..This may change like 50 +50+20.But I never expect a breakup of 60+60+0.As not everyone from the WL1 will join even at the IIMs(A--L).similar is the case with Merit List. More the 50 % of the merit list joining a B/B+ institute is an anomaly.This is because students in the merit list have high degree of workexp and they will surely convert calls from SPJain and other A grade institutes.It is obvious that they wont join B-level institutes..You can decide whether my reasoning is correct.. muralee

After all murli bhai has applied the probabilty concept 😃 ..... but nice pridiction buddy. Hmm my priction is somewhat different.... as par as my knowledge around 40-50 students in merit list have already confirmed their seat long back but this is not official news. My take: 45-55 students of merit list 50-55 students of waitlist 1 10-15 students of waitlist 2 with 5 percent error, which comes very close to murli's pridiction.

Well my prediction is based on my sixth sense and not on any theorem( waise bhi probability aaj tak mujhe samajh nahi aayi), and my knowledge of finance says that what everyone thinks wud happen never happens. I dont have a techno mind like Murali and Abhi but my financial mind says that this year the selection wud be as follows:

Hi well the rationale definitely sounds good but one thing is for sure your xplanation has inspired some confidence!!! And if the past records support it denial is tuff whatsoever the dynamics be... May be at this point of time seniors shud help by conforming the no of aspirants from the merit list fulfilling the obligation .it would cerainly give us a better picture and help us in efficient anticipation . seniors pl consider the plea !!! thanks
I got thro SDM... I was in Wait-List 1 and SDM have confirmed my admission...Have got the letter and also an E-mail...last date to pay the fees is 26 March...:
