i m desperately waiting to get into sdm....but the list is again showing tht i m in waiting n need to chek bak on 5th april...i m getting nervous....cuz i just got sdm call....pls help seniors...n tell me if there r chances left for me.pls pls pls...its a request to averybody.please.

this is too much. y d authorities never feel the anxiety which we students face during this result time. me too have to wait till 5th april. they should tell frankly whether we r through or not rather than hanging us in confusion.

lastly i came to this conclusion hat i'm not through. and will not wait any longer.

i dont know about how many in the 2nd WL have got calls.. but i was in the 2nd waiting list and i have got through.

have given me time till the 5th of April to pay the fees..i will not be joining though due to personal reasons.

Hi SDM seniors,
I was in waiting list 2 and now I need to wait again till 5th April. I would like to know till today how many have confirmed their admission? Atleast give approximate no.(If u dont know the exact no.). Since all who didnt got call today r desperately waiting to know exact status. Means what is going on? And today how many got the call? And when this procedure(of postponing the status) will be over?
I thank u all those who left the sdmimd because of personal or any other reason. I pray, GOD bless them for there BRIGHT future...

Baawri is also in the same situation. I have also been told to look on 5 April 😞 If I die till then one seat more will be vacant. I didn't eat since last eight days. Busy in Pooja-Paath. Puys at ShoutBox are making fun of me.:nervous: My friend is also asked to look on 5 April. Itni saari junta... I wonder if more than ten people be called ??: I sincerely pray that everyone should get into the best of the institutes he wishes. Tabhi mera chance hai


well puys,
i understand the anxiety and wait u people might be going thru.....one reason might be there wud be good number of seats confirmation fom pple of Ist waiting list....also there were some odd pple called from 2nd waitlist on 16th itself....so some guys wud have requested for date extension due to some unforseen reasons......but i sincerely feel that whatever happens happens for good and u people wud make it eventually ....dont worry(atleast try) and leave everything to allmighty!Good luck and wishes for 5 th april!

Why cant we have an updated status in the website which shows the names of studnets who have paid the fee. i dont see any harm in that.....
this will have more clarity for the people who are yet to be confirmed to make a choice....
Calling the college regarding the availabilty of seats will not solve the perpose, i guess the website can be update daily by end of day....

Cat score is just 45% of the total weightage.
how will u analyse GD,PI, Acads, Work exp ?

hey guys, even i'm in wl2 nd have been asked 2 wait till 5th of april. Can abhishek or surabhi or any one from sdm plzzzzzzzzzz help us. Can u plz give out our waitlist nos.. I was so hopeful of gettin a cal on 26th. I'm dissapointed like hell. One of my frenz who was in wl2 got a call on 16th itself although she had less % than me. My gd was gr8 and so was my interview. I really donno why i'm not gettin a cal. Atleast they should tell us our waitlist nos. R the people at sdm takin sum backdoor entries??? Then why aren't they giving us our wl nos. All d other collgs are mentionin it. Guys i'm hell lot of upset, I waz left prayin for the past 20 dez n dis is wat i got in return. Plzzzzzzzzz somebody help. I wud go mad waitin till 5th april.

freind u must also need to understand othr part of coin .i.e 55% and its major one which is based on Academics,work-experince Consisitency and offcourse GD & PI which played a major role in final merit list ...hope i answered ur querry!

Im Priya, and have got admission at SDM.I was in waiting list 2.Still thinking whether to join or not.Im in my final yr B.Tech.I got placed in Infosys during my third year.I heard that SDM gives a lot of weightage to work experiance.Don know how i got through.But can anone suggest if Infosys or SDM would be a better option...since i have no prior work experiance.How many students are generally in a batch with no work experiance....?

when u got ur confirmation o 26th or 16th march..????.....comming to ur querry,i can understand the quandry between infy and SDM but to tell u can nvr have career being just BTECH compared to MBA .....an MBA that to from reputed college like SDM can add intangible benefits to ur career..also u need to understand that being a fresher u have been offered seat means u shud consider damm lucky that u wud study with such quality work experince and academically rich students which is very important while selecting college for MBA.
also suppose if u gain experince and join tomorrow it wud be full circle again.
From my experince this yr SDM scaled heights in terms of quality and diversity of candidates. also pedagogy is pretty strong that tp permanent faculty ......End of the day it wud be ur decision after sorting all options.

Thanks for the reply.what u ve advised makes sense.99% im goin to take the offer.Its just that SDM does not advertise much.I got to know SDM through a prof im acquainted with.It's the anxiety whether the B-School is good or wil i get a better option if i try after two yrs of work exp etc.But after my ground work about SDM i guess im not making the wrong choice.

Cud u pls tel me hw is the hostel facility and esp the food der?!!!

Hey Oriole,

I can understand wats goin on in your mind.. But plz stop thinking that SDM-IMD entertains Back-door entries...There is no such thing as Back door... Every one has got the call depending on their performance in GD/PI's.. and many interested ( or i shud say Desperate one's) candidates are stuck in Wait-list 2... It's purely coincidental....

Whenever a college entertains Back-door, it will face many problems..

Take for Example SDM-IMD.. many CAT-Takers dont know that SDM-IMD exists.. So when a college wants to project itself in the B-school arena, it has to have a wide base and shud advertise....
SDM doesn't believe in Promotion ( Which is a good sign!!!!)

N when a college takes Back-door entries, the reputation of the college is at stake...
1. During placements, the Back-door students can't prove their worth n will be left out of the race..!! so no 100% placements..

2. The Left-out students even if they get selected, cant be good managers, just bcoz, they have certificate..

3. When companies take the students n eventually when they find out, that students are not upto the mark( or Quality) , they stop recruiting from the college..

SDM-IMD has proved to Everyone that, they are here to Rule.. and be among the Top-B schools in India.. SDM is the best bet to do MBA...

So guys.. plz remove all these funny, irrelavent ideas from your brains and think positive..

Its nice to know that ur taking informed decision which is crucial also, As far as hostels are concerned they are quite serene since college itself is situated at the backdrop of Chamundi hills...the place is really calm and ideal for study to prosper ,regarding food it wud b par with any top b school since they are catering students at national level.
BTW u said u know some proff. over there ,whom u know ?.....
