Also hostels are single room Occupancy good enuf to accomdate anyone with all ameniteis present at drop of hat.....they are inside the college campus and walking distance from it.....

Thanks! Actually the person i know is not a prof there.He suggested me to apply for this coll cos he was impressed by the faculty in SDM.He had a chance to come to your coll once i guess. :)
How are extra curricular activities in SDM?.....is it very studious there? Hav u been placed?

i got 65 percentile in cat....but my friends r telling me tht they r not goin to take anyone from the second list...i dont know y sdm is not coming up with the list of people already enrolled...or at least their waiting list number.

congrats for gettin into sdm, although u haven't asked for it but i wud like 2 give u a advice from my side. SDM is a gud institute nd u got through it in ur final yr it shows that ur academic record must have been gr8. So addin 2 that if u get a work ex from a gud company like infosys for 1 or 2 years u can alwayz get into one of the A or A+ colleges of our country. Since u r in ur final yr u have ample amount of time for preparing for cat again. so weigh ur options properly nd then decide SDM is definetely a gr8 colg but u can alwayz get better stuff in future with a tag of workex round ur neck so think over. Leave no place 4 regrets, if I were U , I had done that.

1. When are the six terms that constitute the course..if i pay one instalment now wen wil i have to pay the next term's...?
2. Will there be extra expenditures apart from hostel , food and al..in terms of academic front during the course...?
3. The PGDBA has an option of specialization in the last terms...I wan a specialization of Finance...can i choose the elective? or is it alloted on merit ?or is there any other criteria?
4. What package can i expect through SDM next Nov 08...Im a B.Tech Student of Information Technology with a 80+ engineering percentage and no prior work experiance....?(Just an approx from previous placement pattern)

Seniors are out for summers so they are not in position to add any glory meanwhile i try to reply my maxim of querries:
: its is mentioned in brochure that every installement u have to pay immediately after the trimester(4 months) commences so it wud b somewhere in November 07.
:: living and mess expenses wud be around 30k and 48k resp for 2 yrs.other expenses are relative including books.
::: Definaltely U can have specilazation only in finance and can be clubbed with marketing or system depending upon ur choice.as per senior proff. dont mistake its as some other criterion.
::::See freshers in SDM are treated at par with any work ex as till now the titlt was heavy towards in fresher as 69% belong to them...as per brochure. Also exp matters only if company seeks occasionally that to it s quite relative.so dont worry on this front.

it is quite a lull since few days... wats happening there....i think majority of candidates who confirmed their admission will be resting on thier laurels ..regarding second waitlist, i feel few would definately see light of the day as 100 % registration cant be possibilty.its my sincere wish that aspirants who wants to get into SDM shud get into as its good for even college to prosper we to succeed.

Laptop is a must here. If you buy from outside tats also fine. If you ppl buy from here, it will be bulk purchase with 3 years(depends) of service level agreement(SLA). This assures you of proper service.Currently we enjoy Dell NBD(Next Business Day) service.Service is done tomoro is you register today(including replacing motherboard)...It has happened here. So,its your choice to go thru the institute or otherwise.We have 4-5 ppl who bought from outside vendors,coz they wanted better models.
Dont worry about protocols and all those stuff.Its windows XP compatible network with Firewall.

I m back. As per as admissions is concerned i think that admissions are over and if in any case a candidate backout then a call wll be given to waitlist member. This might be reason why college has asked u people to wait till 5 april or what ever.
It nice to c that young poeple are taking initiatives to solve the queries of their peers.
