Even my friend is facing a simillar problem. He got through in the first merit list itself nd since d date waz gettin over nd d results of other colgs were not out he had 2 pay d fees at sdm. But now hez got into a very gud colg but money is d problem, hez ready 2 quit d seat if somebody in d waitlist is ready 2 help him out. If yes den plzzz reply guyz Ill give u hiz contact no.So plzz hurry up nd reply.
hi golden oriole n creative eye..the seats r non transferrable as far as i know..even if u get someone to take ur seat n share the money..still abhi/surabhi can gv u abetter piece/else contact the office if u get any from waiting..al the best

Hi I m Manpreet Singh i was in the 2 waiting list and unfortunately could'nt make it to the final 120.I am writing this quote because i m ready to take ur seat and i have no issues in that thing. I donn think there is any such funda of transfering ur seat because u never know who wll get the call in the wait list. I think now the admissions are over but still i would suggest that u can call to admission's office.

Well its disheartening to know that not much happened from 2nd list as expected leading to conclusion that atleast 80% students from 1st merit waiting list confirmed their admission and booked thier seats in one of the fastest growing Bschool in country.Still i wud suggest people to have patience as few seats gonna get cancell at last moment due to some unforseen reasons and few would get oppurtinity to rock SDM 07-09 batch.
BTW its my sincere request to Dormant future SDMites to pitch in and lets know as we'r always interested at the light that is end of tunnel since our boggies are allready entered into it.Informally we can meet also if gang is of sizeable number of same cities if interested.Lets Discuss issues relevant to SDM,irrelevant to us 
i mean everthing to everthing as we gonna spend 2 yrs over there.

heyy there guyz...namaste to all my senoirs at SDM-IMD and "wazzuup ya'll" to all my colleagues for 07-09 batch..count me in...jus a brief intro...Name: Harshil Dave, a commerce graduate, a fresher, from a'bad..i guess we're gonna hav loads of fun at da insti. and by fun i mean some hardcore studyin'.
i've some queries which i'd like to get cleared by senoirs...
1) can you please give me detailed information 'bout the laptop thingy, i've read da threads posted, but info is very ambiguous and scatterd, so if possible plzz give me info regardin expenses and configurations of laptop, so that i can arrange for finances accordingly..
2) can u please give some info regardin da food served in mess, i knoe it mite sound a bit trivial, but da reason y i'm concerned 'bout it is b'coz i'm not too experimental when it comes to food, i hope u understand wat i'm tryin to say hea..so brief info bout dat would help..
3) And lastly, when are we suppose to join da campus, i.e. hostel..i'm leavin from a'bad on 31st may, i'll reach mysore by 3rd june, as i'd be commuting by train...sooo what next after i land in mysore? thats one question thats got me contemplating lately..
If my questions sound a bit crazee, its jus b'coz i'm really xcited to join da inst..awaitin yer reply...

First of all Welcome to SDMIMD and also welcome to Gujju gang at SDM. Now regarding ur queries:
1. Dont be tensed about the laptop. when u join college they wud ask u to fill around 100 forms asking for the configuration u want. then they wud arrange for one which is acceptable to all. u can either take loan for laptop from vijaya bank which the college authorities wud arrange or u cud pay cash. sab ho jayega aur laptop august tak milega so chill for now.
2. Food is "awesome". Accha nahi hai but theek thaak hai. We will try to change it this year. Breakfast is very good, lunch eatable and dinner is okay.
3. U can move into the hostel as soon as u report for joining. ur hostel rooms wud be allotted on the day of reporting at the college.
I hope I have answered ur queries.

Thanks miss surbhi for replyin to my queries...although i must admit, u got me a lil bit worried 'bout mess, not a big deal though,lol... there is no mention bout internet connectivity on sdm website, so was anxious to kno dat do we hav wi-fi connectivity in campus? b'coz we all would b havin laptops and i cant imagine life widout google, laptop widout google would be like "CHAPPAL" widout "JHINGUR", hahaha..as i'm jus done wid my final yr graduation examz yesterday, i guess i'll enjoi my last summer at a'bad and make most of it before i embark on journey to sdm.

It seems u have not read the prospectus. Go read it. All this info is mentioned therein. and regarding wifi i think there shud be something on the website. Waise every hostel room has lan connection and the campus is wi fi.

Well its a great Welcome indeed even before stepping in the college..thanks on behalf of Batch 07-09.Its also heartening that 1 more senior(kiran), has come forward to help our never ending questions.till now it was commendalble job done by sursharma and abhi in this thread...........Kudos.
Also it nice to know that Arjun,harshil and kaushik joining gang of me, Naveen,Srini,Lakpri,bhavyank shah,.....its really bad summer all around and majority of us reflected in thier post....someone has left job and someone is doing 4 namesake before embarking thier journey to SDM.
I still feel there are considerable no of Suys (read SDM puys) who are dormant and waiting to rock..comon guys it wonderful forum to connect before we meet.....
