on a vry solid note ..Look at 2 things ..a Strong brand... and sum1 who can show you a rough career growth of 2-3 yrs.. Dont be domain( marketing/finance/sales/branding) or sector specific ...wat u mite b askin on campus mite well be wat u'll not end up doin!!
Back the Placements team..offer help in case of personal contacts..Companies r showin signs of hiring bak... yet cautious.. Keep ur Basics vry strong ...

Its great to see juniors active on PG..Makes me remember of the good early days As far as we seniors are concerned, the countdown to our end of an MBA educatn has begun and I can't believe that the first year of my MBA has been a completion..Maybe its the amazing time and the camaraderie shared between the students, faculty and every SIESCOMite:cheers: but - Time truly flies

Keep posting your day-to-day happenings..This two years will be filled with sleep killing assignments, unknown subjects, new friends, 24x7 rains, freshers party n wat not..
But admist all this will be learning 24x7..The campus has been buzzing with a lot of activities..So let every soul know that life at SIESCOMS truly rocks:cheerio:

Well...taking placemnts wid an open mind is rightly said important and WE all pride ourselves on having an open mind but when it comes to our beliefs,our minds close and become stuck...

U said it buddy..its hectic BUT IN A GOOD WAY..n der r actually a whole host of surprises lined up fr u...SIESCOMS has been visionary in xposing the managemnt grads in the most important field of social sector..u all will b placed in various NGOs across the city giving u all a much needed CSR learning..Keep ur fingers xrossd fr this one man its an awesome experience..:cheerio:
Its almost been a week into the NGO project and I have to say it has been a good experience so far. I am working in an NGO that takes care of children who are forced to beg because of their economic condition. Our main assignment is to make a future plan for the coming year and to help out with structuring the entire working of the NGO..... We were all gung ho about the experience on the first day .. We thought the task would be pretty easy and we would easily be able to handle .... And boy were we wrong 😛 ..... As soon as we started interacting/playing with the sweet little kids what ensued was an entire day of fun/frolic for the children and an aching body for us 😃 ... The children had exceptionally high energy levels and by the end of the day we were totally famished..... After the first day we got down to business and started helping the kids out with their studies and we've started creating detailed profiles of each of the children....We have started with the future planinng and we've noted some ways in which the working of the NGO can be improved..... We still have another week(and a day to go)....I sincerely hope we can make a difference in the lives of these kids and pray that whatever we are doing helps them out in their lives.. 😃 ......

Hi pradeep..Responsible Social Managers is what SIESCOMS tries to achieve through the NGO initiative..n u r rite it has actualy help all of us n I think we otherwise wuld nvr evr encounter such an experience and learning through our lifespan..I knw d two week learning wuld hav passd by BUT u cn surely try n b associated with such a cause as it give a sense of personal satisfaction which is beyond monetary boundaries..wassey :)

Hi shivani..I being a student of SIESCollege Of Management Studies vouch fr its calibre n MMS/PGDM offered/faculty cn b compared to d bst of the lot..PGDM is an AICTE approvd course..
Also, I wll lik to highlight few V IMP POINTS 1) Kindly dont frame ur perceptions on the basis of RUMOURS about a B-schools placements/faculty/course content etc etc..n SIESCOMS is no diffrent 2) Comparisions of B-schools is crime in PG so would not b able to comment on ISB v/s SIES n allll..
Hello Friends, The new batch of PGDM 2009-11 has entered into the SIESCOMS family and for the first time after the commencement of the academic year we all just finished with our 1st semester examinations this Monday(30th November 2009). Students from varied backgrounds, differing in their academics and professional experience came together and gave the examination. The 1st sem was full of Basics related to business and other management aspects, with numerous presentations, case studies, projects, dummy organization designs,etc. With all the basic knowledge, static ideas and creative thinking, we all are enthusiastic about getting into a hardcore and dynamic atmosphere of 2nd semester.
