Hey guys...
wish u all a very happy independence day!!
The day was by large the best independence day celebration i ever had...
We had the flag hoisting @ 8....in presence of a few faculty members and Director Dr.Sengupta..
we had a small word of advice from a few of the people and we were all set to proceed to the Auditorium for the proceedings..
First to start with Jyoti and Prashant started with a few patriotic songs..
After that ahem...put ur hands together...apun ka street play aaya...
Prasad,Girish and a few others were also in it...
We spread the msg that u dont need a 26th jan or 15th aug to celebrate independence... and issues like what r the new evils that the GEN -NEXT needs to free itself from...
I hope people liked it...then we had our jamming sessions mannnn
our 2 guitarist.....Yegnesh and Rahul ...boy were they fab...
we jammed like for 2-3 hours man...didnt even realize...
The best part it was the first event of Junior Batch...we even interacted with a few Pharma and Biotech MBA guys...which was cool...I'll prob'ly try to get a few guys here so that u guys have a good idea abt those courses too!!!
Chalo guys c yaa all..
Have to prep for an Economics quiz tmrw!!!
Chaooo
To borrow the expression of one our esteemed colleagues, Independence day Rocked...... We had Prashant and Jyoti showcasing their vocal talents. Ditto wid Yeggi and Rahul, who are probably among the best guitar players i have seen. Looking at such talent makes me go
But seriously it was real fun.... hope the internal events ppl host more shows like today....
Hey guys
posting after a long time...lolzz
Did a lot of activities in the past 2 daz...
To begin with we have come to know about 2 new projects which we r supposed to submit within this weekend...that means canceling our plans for weekend...umm also means a part of those 40 marks internal...
Hey newaz today we had the forum of free enterprise who came to SIESCOMS to discuss about the PRE AND POST LIBERALIZATION era!!
We discussed a lot of issues at stretch...right from the GDPs pre and post lib era...also the avg age factor of India and all...These are small stats which push India ahead of the Future Top-Slot Economy...
Infact guys...Seems like India has an Avg age of 25,China of 35 and european nations and Japan nearly 45...
Pretty clear now about how our economy works well and why we can bank upoon the gen-nex for the future!!!
Newaz after that we all got busy with the projects again...As one proj is over....another begins...phew!!
I guess thats the life of a Bschool...
Truly Anmol Saturday's session was awesome. Forum of Free Enterprise is a fantastic platform. They really have this great personalities within them. Both of todays speakers were excellent Economists.
But the last three days were really really hectic. How can we forget that on Friday we sat 4 lectures. For me it was a milestone i have achieved. For all those who do not know each lecture is of 2 hours. So it was a great accomplishment for me :)).
Lots and lots of project coming up. Every subject have a project. Evry project has a group. Its like we have to make software for our own purpose of project and group management. Its going our management capabilities. Anyways some how we have to manage and that is the spirit of this course and the institute.
Also we had this fantastic lecture of marketing were various product was case studies including AMUL MACHO. It was a blast man. One of my best lecture till date LOL.
WELL the mms batch of 07-09 jst had thier 1st week of mba life
its kinda amazing week, we had lectures, corporate interaction, projects, nd lot of gyan ki baatien frm ur profs
for IT we had prof UPADHYA, his lecture r both fun nd a learng experience,
prespective management was the most interestng with group projects, were one group became an organisation taking an current topic nd one group tryng to find if thr is any flaws in their plan
my group is next week nd we r planning to put up a gud show, all i can say is WRK IN PROGRESS
prof VENKAT lectures on marketng gave a grass root view on marketng,
well as the week set, the project wrk is keepng all of us busy, i thnks canteen ki chai nd discussions will be dominating our lifes frm next week
watch ths space for more stuff
back after a hiatus of more than a week...guyzzzzz.its time to up the ante...projects r flooding... and ya the deadlines for idea research r done ..gear up urselves for the mentoring session with Mani sir ..coz once it gets down to the personal level then u need to spot on on what u have and what u wanna do ... thats when he can help us better. His experience is vast and diverse.Make sure that each of us take good sensible decisions in consulting with him.
The mammoth Motorola case wil keep me on my toes for a cpl of days ..but I will be back soon..lot more updates on the anvil from me..Anmol is a regular hunter on PG.+ cyborg and lover boy r in full swing ....

sies' Site - Events
Now...Yups as my 2 partners of crime rightly said...Lifes been tooo hectic past week...
All I can say is that with VIRTUALITITES COMMITTEES comign up...its good to see all the people spurring up and working...trust me guys...not even a single person is sitting idle...
The atmo is such that people r sittign in groups doin their bitta work...someones gearing up with events...some with their projects n all ...lolzz
For the newbies...
VIRTUALITIES is the annual event @ SIESCOMS...
Few students have also come up with an event :- WALKATHON..on the occasion of the 75th YEAR of the SOUTH INDIAN EDUCATION SOCIETY...which is a novel idea...something very new for the bschool event list...its gunna be a 24 km journey from SIES SION to SIESCOMS NAVI MUMbAI....u can imagine the scale of the event...
One more significant event that is coming up this month end is INTER-ALIA.. which is the first of its kind event for the undergrads..
what we r doing is that we r putting forth a platform for the undergrads to come forth and have a feel of a bschool...
We are starting with bms students first...
So...hopefully the events will go good ...
C yaaoo..
Well i just want to mention that while running after the projects and studies for the end call of Placements, do not forget the humanity that we have.
Also we are still human and we have a responsibility with respect to our society and family(THE most IMPORTANT). So be aware of what you do and thing before any step you take.
Just felt to say so, because our three students met with an accident.
By God's grace no body is hurt much.
Here is the story:
The Accident
cya.
also i forgot to mention, on the independence day Prasad witnessed an incident. Well its quite a paradox for us to celebrate ou Swatantra Divas.
If someone is still to view it, pl go ahead:
The Paradox
Hello
All kudos to my peers, momentum seems to be accelerating.
I believe all my friends would agree with me, we the batch of SIEScoms 07-09 will make the flagship event of SIES Virtualities a landmark in the yrs to come.....
The passion, excitment, energy displayed by my colleagues across the spectrum will certainly enhance the magnitude & scale of the event.
Before i could brief my peers anymore on proceedings of virtualities I feel its imp to share
a couple of mega events designed by different streams.....
Among which the most touching is the WALKATHON. Let me accolade the conceptualizers of this event on the occasion of 75 anniversary of SIES Which inspires a deep sense of need to reflect and act on the major threat to worlds existence .Yes, u guessed it right ....
Day after Tommorow ...Global warming . We the student community of SIES realize & advocating to build awareness on this cause .
we Feel, we believe & realize we be the reason .
Hello Junta
Agent Prasad Reporting,
@ Arvind
Yes by conceptualisation of the Walkathon we would no only make aware of the 75th anniversary of a SIES but also put some light on the issue of Global warming.
Also ur idea of Tree Plantation near the industrial belt of Navi Mumbai will help a lot.
On the Idea Research Front..
All the proposals have been done and they have all been uploaded in the blog.
Innovative Castle .
Also Anmol and his group had a chance to meet bigwigs of the Industry for there Research.
On Entrepreneurship Club Front..
The structure of the club is formed President ,Vice President (Different Functions),Secretary and the Magazine incharge have been selected.
The club now has members from not only PGDBA batch it also inculdes
Pharmacy,Biotech and MMS students and next we are targeting members from
Engineering students also.
