Well this is my first post in a very long time and also the first on any other b-school thread.
But I had to say this. I was at Ensemble and witnessed the XL hospitality and was very impressed with it. I have come back with some fond memories and a bit of moolah as well

Btw which event did you participate in? As far as my knowledge goes, MDI-ians won in Quest Adventura, Olympian and C2C (2nd). U guys made off with quite a lot of money i say

Hi all.. I am a newbie.. I want the advice of all XLers and core pagals..

I wrote cat this year
I expect to get around 92-93 percentile..

You would ask what this has to do with XAT/XLRI..

I know XLRI is one of the best colleges in INDIA,but some of my friends study in IIMs... sometimes I feel I too should make it to the IIMs..

At other times I feel is it really worth waiting/wasting another year for the IIMs..?Are IIMs insuperable..?Will there be a great difference career-wise,opportunity-wise between IIMs and non-IIM colleges...

Because of this I am not able to prepare whole-heartedly for XAT 2009.Kindly explain...
I am asking XLers because some of you would have wanted to write CAT again but would have felt otherwise after joining XLRI...No one can answer better..

P.S: I am posting this with due respect to all MBA grads.Do not mistake me.

:sarcasm: People who drop in once in a while, and post one-liners are talking of keeping the thread alive. :banghead:

But yes, new update... we had an interative session with some eminent people from the Labour Commission of India today. It was great to understand more about unions and their dynamics. :clap:

Even though, I'm not looking for a career in industrial relations, it was still worthwhile to understand a different perspective.

or given the market situation is this the best time for mba
i am askin dis bcoz me plannin to take a year break and prepare for cat and all the other xams in 09/10

yeah cool... I'm in XL only these days.. It's fun here now... no studies... nothing... feeling like complete vacations. Masti only and a lot of MAXI work

Total mazzzaa. I just wished to spend such a time in Xl and though i am missing some of my holidays, but it's worth it... :1eye:

I just got home a li'l while ago, and it's a relief to be alive and well, after finishing term II, which was quite a killer. :)

But I know, in a couple of days, I'll start missing XL all over again. :banghead:

While Manan is busy working for MAXI, I here in New Delhi soaking up the winter sun with heaps of dry fruits and chocolates at my disposal. The more Manan works, the less I have to.

PS: The 'real' reason why Manan is still in Jampot is that he's studying for next term....:crazyeye:
