My first post on this sacred thread.....Life at XL so far has been rocking. Its been just 10 days in XLRI and we have been doing a variety of things ranging from football to cricket to nukkad natak to night outs. And ohh yes attending classes as well.
After 10 days of continuous classes, finally we are free today.
Seniors at XL are just awesome.... Well these are the people who make this place "the place to be in." Well its difficult to explain this in words, you got to be here to realize this.
Well thats it as of now.....Will try and post on this thread continuously.
Aur Happy bhai....Aur bando ko bulao yaar apne apne experiences share karne ke liye.
it's been almost a month in XL, yet most of the puys in the campus don't know each other. how about a pg meet at jlt tomorrow ? raghav will try to bring in a few seniors if the plan is successful. Instead of replying to this post, a thanks will be enough to confirm participation.
Just watch out in the fb community also, you can reply there :)
Cheers,
Rito

But heres a quick recap- first there was this wet night :-Pa real amazing one thank u seniors, we danced to the tunes of music and ended the night with Bodhi tree's XL meri jaan (realising what XL turly means)
then we had the MAXI bazar (just a small glimpse of the MAXI fair) in which ur truly came second breezer effect did us in
the sport events took place side by side and I lost count after innumerable defeats to BM though a few of them were utter heartbreaks esp cricket where we just gifted the match in 1 ovr:-(
then the much awaited adventure camp for which i have no words to describe. A totally exhilarating experience!!
The committee intros hav started and so have the profs with their assigns and it seems like we are running like the protagonist of BHAG D K BOSE.sleep has become the most precious aspect of our life
though we are coming to terms with the less than 4 hr sleep per day schedule
Life is racy and fast forward here and we are enjoying every moment of it:cheers:

Well just back from the village exposure program.XL has opened my eyes and enlightened me so all i have is now a yearning to do something for the downtrodden and help uplift those areas where even water is not available!! Respect XL
Last week we had our adventure program and needless to say it was awesome. A great time out with friends and having that tianic feel with My heart will go on in the raft with rain lashing on ur face can't be put in words.
So the fun is over:nono:..........is it? actually the real fun starts with 3 announed quizes and one dreaded project ppt things have moved on to hyper gear

Ah, not much has changed in 4 years then! Thanks bro!

Shame @iim c
An MBA 'C'ollege from 'C'alcutta 'C"hickens out after arriving at XLRI campus. Apparently, they want to change the rules, just because they thought they couldn't defeat guys from the City of "Nawabs".

feeling ashamed that the name of my birthplace is associated with such a chicken of an institute.

Really, this is not in keeping with the spirit and passion of the sports crazy city...Disgrace IIM C(where C=cowards, cribbers)
This is why XL rocks......... n IIM C Jokars suck :splat:........
We play with passion n sportsmanship. For us it's not about winning always rather giving our best on and off the field......... XL ROCKS
They Came
They Saw They were WELCOMED
They Ran away 😃 !!
Today IIM C gave a new meaning to its name and you have already read most of them in the posts above. So C now stands for chicken/cribbers/cry babies/cowards. Another reason for XLers to cheer.Despite the murky history XL never ran away from the battle ground. We have always faceda nd fought with honour:thumbsup: and today C proved how hollow they are. Such pathetic losers who care only for winning and not for sportsmanship at all.
Shame on IIMCHappy29

At the risk of receiving many groans and being told that I have no business here -
The last dozen or more posts have been completely in bad taste. XLRI guys seem to be reveling in making fun of IIM C, and IIM C is groaning at these posts along with the occasional back-abuse. Extremely below the belt.
Not expected on a dignified public forum from two of the very best institutes in the country.
Lajwanti on the article has funnily enough pointed out that the war is still going on on this thread (the mods haven't done anything about this), so I came here to see.
Sorry for the interference.
Best of luck.
Edit: Seems like only XLRI is on the attack. Naturally because this is home turf. IIM C is booing loudly.

that's most likely the job of the 1-post-wonder IIM-C guys who come to pagalguy to groan at peoples' posts and 'like' whatever their batchmates/seniors post on facebook(however stupid/intelligent the posts may be)
I am expecting at least 6 groans in this post

young monk Says3 free days......yes you all read it correctly, no classes for me for three days as half the IR batch is in outbound prog. and I am enjoying every bit of it.
