wanted to know more abt mbe................. is it tougher than mib and mhord exam
It will be very relative to judge a toughness of a paper as it may be easy for one and tough to another. However this years entrance being a joint one will expect some new changes.
First of all my appreciation for taking out time from ur busy schedules and helping us out. I am a BE(IT) final year student. Since last 1-2 years I have developed my keen interest in Economics. It gives me a lot of fun to study how different macro and micro factors affect Buisness environments and creates new opportunities.
Now, some queries about the course
1. Given my interest does it makes sense to go for MBE or MBA? I have read shruti's introduction to this thread regarding MBE and i feel strongly about this course, still it would be of great help if seniors could shed some more light on it?
2. Even if MBE teaches how to apply economics in designing strategies, creating new opportunities.....etc Does the company's coming to ur campus since last 2-3 years , offers the same profile in which we can apply what we have studied in MBE or does they offer the same Finance/HR/Marketing profile as they do in top 25 B- schools?
3.It is a misconception/conception among many top Bschool aspirants that except for FMS, all other colleges in DU and other Government colleges offer less corporate-industry interaction than the top25-30 B schools? where does the MBE stands in this aspects?
Once again thanks to all seniors. You are doing a great job.

Its tough to comment that ways, just have a look in White Snow's previous posts, you can get hold of previous years MBE and MFC papers.Maybe QA is easy for you and tough for others.Just do this homework and compare for yourself. No hard feelings 😃

See,this course is Business Economics-combo of business and economics. You understand how to apply those economics principles in the business(not necessarily yours) No doubt on this that this is a unique course by DU.The syllabus is regularly updated, ofcourse not the basics.Apart from theoretical course,it includes practical trainings through-case studies, seminars by people from various industries, business plans, powerpoints presentations etc. This helps in better understanding real life examples and happenings across the world. But I would say to do bit of homework, like where you see yourself after completing the course, which profile interests you etc. PM me or any of the senior here for more personalised guidance :)

I would leave this query for placement team, since they can give you more details on this.Just wait for a while.

Yeah its a misconception. We have media cell which handles this department. We have seminars and various events where we get to meet speakers of various background.Very soon we are going to host another conclave. This is not for the sake of hearing from them but it also gives exposure to the students. Each and every event is handled by the students itself 😃

Yeah you are right about the seats and the number of questions haven't been mentioned this time.
I have been alloted New Delhi as test centre whereas my test centre choice was Bhopal. How can this blunder be rectified?
Are you sure that you filled the form carefully? If yes, then call at the department and tell your form number and tell about the test center choice.Do it asap.
Of course....I have a xerox of my of my form...I have trying to reach them but no one is answering the call.....
1pm to 2pm is the lunch time yaar ..Give them a break :|Anyways you applied for both the courses, then you can call any of the department number otherwise call at MBE department.
Yeah,I would say go through the patterns of both the papers.MBE paper was returned from last year only so it might be difficult to get papers of before 2009.Try asking in coaching instis, they have some sample questions. But practice the last ones very well :)

I used to think like that a few years ago, but now what i get is exam is to judge the worth/level of the student, but we aspirants are not supposed to judge the difficulty level/worth of any exam.... a few years ago i decided on not taking some specialized exams as i marked them as tough, but this year i wrote them and got through, only i lost some time. just remember every competitor is humane, one who makes through and one who does n't. (hope you don't mind a little frankness) I am attaching the papers again(also dse mib/mhrod 2009 & mfc 2007) Compare yourself if you have set some parameters, Other papers are in page 30 and 27 of this forum, the links are working properly, one just need to be signed in pg to download those.
@Seniors and Fellow puys guys I got the soft copy of the MFC-MBE application form...I'll be sending the form through speed post. now my doubt is- 1)there is this acknowledgment section in the form...now do we need to give our signature and date there or would that be given by the admin office... 2)In the admission ticket,do we need to sign there now or should that be kept vacant?? Help needed???
