Congrats to all who have got into MBE. There have been lots of discussion on placement scene at MBE.
I would like to make it clear that MBE is a Niche Program set up on the lines of Harvard Business School.
MBE is an amalgamation of MBA and Applied Business Economics and puts you in a better situation than a normal MBA since we have Dual Specialization in the final year.
Well here are some of the placement highlights of the season:
1. No. of offers for Final Placements: 1.6 offers per student
2. Average Package: 7.5 lacs p.a.
3. Highest Package: 11 lacs p.a.

Hi friends ! Fist of all Congratulation to all the lucky folks out there who have made it to this prestigious flagship program having a legacy of more than 30 years, And to this Wonderful university of excellence.
I completed my admission process yesterday. Here goes my experience...
Reached the campus around 11 A.M. and after entering the main gate of the department's scenic building inquired the watchman sitting there so as to guide me to the admission room for mbe, and I was utterly takem aback by his first remark and reply which spluttered sth like this"Khatam Ho gaye Han wo ab nahi ho rahe,wahan dekho notice laga hai ", and when I glanced through the notice board I couldn't find anything concerning the Mbe Admission again when I asked he banally repeated the previous reply.Then I Was completely miffed "kahe ko poochh liya yar tune isase" made a immediate beeline to the 1st floor where I had appeared for the GD process. Entered the room the plank above which read Office. The lady sitting in the chair there asked me my name and merit number gave me two lengthy forms to fill up and revert back to her.
came outside dumped myself on the sofa placed outside ("Had arrived traversing on foot from Gurudwara and was fazed on the watchman's off the mark reply ") .
took my full time filling the form and after pasting my idiotic appearing photograph that i had taken the day before "Have this good habit of completing too important work at the eleventh hour which i think Mbe Will purge me off" I entered the room presented the two forms two the lady the she asked me to produce Xerox Copies of marksheets/certificates of10th, 12th,and degree(B.Tech.) final year and tallied it with the original and returned me the originals, then asked for the provisional degree certificate,character certificate,and migration in original and kept it with her. stapled my form with xerox copies 10th,12th,degree final marksheet and original character certi,migration certi and the provisional and directed me to go to the administrative building which is located towards left when we enter the main gate south campus.went there submitted the fee amount 11861/- didn,t have change 61 rupee at that time so had to ask a lot of guys and girls there if they can give me 2 fifties exchanging my 100 rupee note but all in vain finally had to say the cashier sir i am sorry i Along with all my dear buddies here don't have any change. Finally he mentioned 50 rupee balance on my slip and asked me"are are aap to hamare student hain kabhi bhi aao aap (Jo mujhe aur use bhi pata hai ki 21st july aate aate mai bhool jaoonga) aur aake le jana ab kya karen ab aisi problem hi ho jati hai ki". finally leaving those 50 rupees behind and relishing that scenic beauty of the campus and the jollity of being ultimately part of this wonderful place i went back to the lady in the office to receive the final slip there and she with a smile said it's all.Wow I finally joined this prestigious program(about which the Cl faculty who is alumnus of this department having >20 yrs of industry experience had boasted, look what u think na IMI,MDI,IMT Delhi University Ke ye program best hain economically reputation wise industry acceptance wise course curriculum wise aur kal koi aur parameter pata karake ana that-wise as well 11000 fee submit karo aur Chill karo).After coming out Spent almost 2 hours sitting on the lush green grassland in front of the department under the shadow of verdant timberline leafing through the pages of the book that i Had carried "The argumentative Indian-by amartya sen" reminding me that line --it has been our tradition to talk (right or wrong) for time immemorial.(kya fark padata hai jo us watchman ne kaha sab close ho chuka hai may be use pata nahi tha but it is our tradition to talk na) .Yes Yippie,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,spend some more time roaming around the campus and getting a feel of it...................

MIOCHE Sayshey can anyone tell me is there any facility for the international internship AND the international student exchange program in the deptt.
MBE has an understanding with the Indo Canadian Business Council through the centre for Canadian Studies, UDSC, for summer internships for its students in Canada.
As a part of the exchange programme students from abroad have been undertaking training at the Department. MBE has active exchange programmes with France, Austria, Canada and Vietnam.
Through this programme, MBE had the privilege of being host to a number of international students from neighbouring as well as far off nations(such as China, Mongolia and Vietnam etc.), who have joined the MBE fraternity and have taken advantage of its progressive curriculum and the rich industrial interface.
In the past year, MBE students have taken full advantage of these linkages, with International placements at the following organizations:
1. RAIFFEISEN ZENTRAL BANK, AUSTRIA
2. PAYCORP AUSTRALIA PTY LTD.
3. EMCO AUSTRIA
4. ROSENBAUER INTERNATIONAL, AUSTRIA

Hey mates !! I was going through the PG 2010 BSchool rankings and was shocked to see MBE not featuring in that list.Strangely, DSE's MIB and MHROD programmes are there in the list (PS:- I am not comparing any course with MBE.its just that Other institutes such as CL have ranked MBE far ahead of MIB & MHROD ).I strongly feel that MBE should get a place in the list or at least the reason for its exclusion from the rankings should be made clear..!!! what say puys?
After comprehensive analysis and feedback from current batch,iam sticking to my current position.

i called up the department today and was told that it is compulsory for the students to be there at the time of taking admission..i am a waitlisted candidate and in a fix now because it will not be possible for me to be there in that duration in case i make it.(i'll be leaving from delhi on the 21st and will not be back before 7th june )..i really need a double confirmation on this..so whoever goes next to campus please please ask the person concerned if the presence of the student is mandatory..seniors i know you've answered this query before but i am putting this up again because of the contradiction..

Thanks to all of you for keeping the MBE discussion thread alive. It feels great to see such enthusiasm among the candidates who would be joining the MBE family.
About myself, Im Ishu Kapoor, student from MBE senior batch. I see there have been lots of queries which are expected from the candidates. Many of them have already been addressed by my fellow batch mates. I should have been more active in replying to all or most of them but due to sheer lack of time it was not possible.
However, please post all your queries on this thread related to placements, profiles, faculty etc etc. I would try to address them over the weekend.
Can you please name the recruiters which came during the placements of 2010 batch??What profiles are offered to engineering graduates?
Can you also share the average package of a student completin MBE with a work ex of 2.5 yrs?

I am Rishabh , gt admission in mfc nd waitlisted 1 in mbe...I am trying to gather students in mfc fr purchase of laptops as a bulk deal....I think if we cn combine students of both mfc and mbe, who are interested in buying laptops as a bulk deal...then we can really have a very gud discount as number of interested students will increase .
If u think this idea cn work , then cn u please make a spreadsheet regarding this or cn send mail to students (if possible) in which we cn know how many students r interested fr this...any other student who is taking admission this time in mbe cn also take a lead fr this...we cn combine and work on a better bulk deal !!

I have created a spreadsheet to track the students who have taken admission but due to the fact that the last date to take admission in MBE is still 2-3days away, the spreadsheet is still not complete which means that we dont have all the names who are taking admission into MBE.
As the last date to deposit the fees is 21st, so i think that we should wait till 21st and then we will be able to move forward on this...
