well first of all congos for ur admission
u will need originals along with 1 set of attested photocopies of:
1-highschool mrksheet & pass certificate
2- intermediate mrksheet & pass certificate
3- graduation marksheet
4- application for submitting character,migration,pdc
5- one photograph

Everyones on the same platform irrespective of Work Ex or not.
It is at the discretion of the company offering placements.
The average has been quoted by Ravi in the previous thread as Rs 7.5 lacs pa.
The figures are mentioned for the past years in the MBE brochure.
and is applicable for all students(work Ex & without).
This year has witnessed a colorful placement season with an average offer of more than 1.6 per student as well as a remarkably summer placements for my current batch of 2009-2011(Thanks to the placement team) who have been placed in top rung firms...

heres some info...
Just to inform u guys that so far just 29 students have paid the fees(as on 20th May 2010),
that includes all categories.....for admission to MBE...
so people in the Waitlist...have a good chance in converting....
like i have mentioned before,, that people under the 1st waitlist will surely get a 100% convert....
& u can expect a 2nd as well as a 3rd waitlist...so just be patient....

There is no explicit no of seats but as far as i recall around 10 ppl cleared the 1st phase for Saramati PG mens hostel.Subsequently another 5 people joined the fraternity in the 2nd phase.
Whereas currently there are 4 girls(my batch) in the Geetanjali Womans hostel with 3 clearing the 1st phase and another 1 joined in the subsequent phase.
The above figures includes all categories.
Thank you sir..... My no. is 28, hope the contingencies dissolve and I get the Hostel in the scenic campus of DU.

i am not a senior but will try to answer sum of your queries
sum of the companies which visited dis year- deloitte selected 2-3 people at arnd 7.3 lacs
then d shaw offered arnd 9 lacs to 2 people
ENY also picked up arnd 2 people-package being arnd 6.5 lacs
then der was grail research as well and many oder companies visited as well
though i am not sure of the exact figures-seniors can correct me on this
and also-waitlist movement toh yaar har course mein hoti hai(thodi zyada thodi kum) --so dal mein kuch kala nai hai
and with merger of departments and faculty improving....... i think this course can only move ahead frm good to better or even best
and ya the info above quoted regarding compaines is thru sum of my seniors of my college der-so got to know frm dem

rankings are done taking lot of factors like it's not a fully residential program,specialization..i think no lateral placements(correct me on this)etc..
these rankings don't matter if you are eager to join this course
dude i won't comment on the colleges u mentioned because they stand nowhere near Mbe..go through IIT kgp placement report and read the comments over there ..you'll come to know about them.

Interesting discussion going on friends....I would just like to add here :
I don't think DU pays even a single penny to the company HRs to get them come here and conduct placements. Whichever company comes to DU and recruits students, is because they find candidates fulfilling their requirement. Now this factor is worth comparing with respect to B-schools like ITM/BIMTECH Noida e.t.c...... where a lump-some part of your fees goes into HR pockets (so that they come for campusing) and survey firms so that they can provide them with a better ranking.

i would just bring one point to notice here that dude just look at the advertisements, the popularity done by these b skools, sum of them had even extended the dates of their forms or even opened it after cat results were out, does DU indulge in such activities.............
the answer is certainly no and its just because the course is well set up and the placements and all other activities there are in good place
and now to show u the odr side of the story.........wen i was in DU for the GD/PI process there were people frm all areas..........one waitlisted at IIM-calcutta, one called for IIM-L,one converted fore and was waitlisted at NITIE, one converted NMims ,engineer frm DCE
and i looked at the spreadsheet therz a person frm IIT as well.......are not these big names??????????
i hv my cousin who is passed out frm here arnd 2 years back and he told me its the just the brand DU which is enough for companies to get attracted for the course and plus u can never supress talent which has cracked a tough entrance exam (this tym arnd 10k-15k people gave the exam and i guess u know how many seats were der)
trust me dude its a gud infact fantastic course and rankings alwayz do not show the right picture
rest ur choice........you are a better judge of yourself
and ya seniors should answer the question regarding the minimum package offered
on a lighter note.......many avid supporters of MBE here
