Hey!! first of all congrats for the conversion !! One more puy had the same problem of not being able to reach delhi within the stipulated time limit to deposit the fees..Though i dont remember the id, I can tell you that according to my conversation with the person, he/she had called up MBE office and the mam who sits there told him/her that you have to be there in person not just to deposit the fees( after you have done admission formalities, anyone can deposit the fees at the cash counter) but to complete the admission formalities.When I went to take admission, i was required to sign at a few places in the admission form...So in my opinion, it is not possible to complete the admission formalities without your presence...!!
PS:- This is just a guess made on the basis of what i have heard.IMO, you should call up MBE office @ 011-24111141 at arnd 11 o clock in the morning to confirm it...ATB

it is mandatory for you to be there in person as you will need to fulfill various formalties(refer to earlier posts).Moreover as rishabh has mentioned,you will also need to sign at several places in the forms.But fee payment can be done by anybody...

Im sure ul crack d hostel,moreover u hav an added advantage as u hail from WB....uv got a very good chance of securing a hostel seat..

But isn't the quota applicable for students hailing from North Eastern states. WB doesn't comes under NES. Morevoer I hail from Nagpur and have my roots in Kolkata.
One more question, Can you throw some light on the scope of P.H.D. after the completion of this course. has there been any such instance in your knowledge when seniors have opted for P.H.D., after completion of this course, in India or abroad ?

U need to submit proof of permanent residence as well as a standard medical certificate along with passport size photos with the hostel application form completely filled(not to forget a local guardian in Delhi just for signature in the form),
there will be an interview with the provost,warden and resident tutor on the scheduled day.
the results are normally declared within a week of the interview & u are reqd to pay the necessary fees before a stipulated date failing which ur seat stands cancelled.
Look out for the forms,they are expected to be out in mid july...

i had the same problem as yours and can tell you with full certainity that it is mandatory for you to be there in person while taking admission..you got to sign on a few places as mentioned by rishabh..

I have mentioned earlier that migration certi can be submitted sometime as late as october but u need 2 constantly inform d office ppl.
It would be preferable to submit the charcater certi asap...ie august or so..

MBE classed will start by 21st July and even the hostel form looks to be out at the same time, and allocation process will take some time. So even if one gets the hostel, but still he has to look for some other alternative(for short duration atleast). Also what are the chances for an outstation candidate to get hostel. I have heard that hostel capacity is not in accordance with the no. of outstation candidates coming for the south campus courses?

Yeah it would be great if you guys meet and get to each other..Yeah outstation students can also set a day they are coming for application purpose or to apply for the hostel.
I think its great idea to have pre MBE meet. We had it last year twice and each time there were 9 people who could make it.
Its fun to meet before. May be some of the seniors can also join if they are available on that day...some one among ppl who are joining just need to take initiative and coordinate.
