MICA Aspirants with not-so-great scores - CAT or XAT score?

Here's my score:
QA: 6.33
VA/RC: 18( according to CL....I dont even wanna think about IMS's answer key....Everythings wrong accoring to that.....Aaaargh!!!)
DI: 10
Total: 34.33
What do I do?
What are you guys gonna do?
Here's how I look at it:

If the score is way tooooo low for MICA to even consider me,then I'd definitely go the XAT way.....No choice there,eh?
On the other hand, XAT has that dreaded GK bit.....Aaaaaargh!!
What are you guys gonna do?
What do you think I should do?
Please help.

Hey ...lissen there is no need to get so dejected ...Your score might just get u a call from MICA....My frnd at MICA scored a 34 last yr...and last yr the cutoffs were higher..cause the paper was much easier...i dnt think it makes sense to get all low at this point...i too am in the same boat with a score of arnd 32-33....u cant' trust these answer keys anyways...

so please lighten up....

God better bless me as well...my score's around 32..not sure will be able to write MICAT even with God's blessings...I guess I'll go with XAT...and del_rot(the name's 'deliciously' long!)...I don't think this time's XAT will have GK..atleast it's not mentioned in the brochure explicitly..but am hopeful that atleast VA there will not be as weird or 'controversial' as CAT!!..waiting eagerly for others to chip in with their scores and views...

Ya. i am quite sure this year xat will not have gk, as it clearly says paper will have 3 sections of quant, di and english. Why dont these people take both cat and xat scores, and take best of the lot? By the way, i am expecting around 36, with 19.33 in english. I guess it must be enough to atleast write MICAT.

Can we apply with both CAT and XAT scores on the same form? No,Right? And its too late to buy another form. If IIM requires 52+..........I know....MICA should take a cut off of ummm......30?.....eeeks,how improbable does that sound? (Ignore the ranting.....It's 6 am and I havent slept through the night!!)
Sleeping pills or Wrist-slitting,that is the question!!!!

Nikhil,great score,btw................I'm sure 32+ should be atleast 85 percentile(Fingers tightly crossed)...The paper was atrociously difficult...and English was the vaguest!!!!

Delicious, my english scores vary from 12 to 19, depending on various answer keys. I have assumed it to be maximum possible. But quant was a major dampner. only 3.33 .
I guess thats going to be a major factor in all colleges going for sectional cut offs. I think at that score in quant my quant percentile is surely going to be below 50.

Your score isnt bad but I feel if you can then go for XAT score. The reason is you have a lot of time to improve in the areas where you feel you need to improve slightly. That can make a huge difference to your score. A good XAT percentile will make it easier for you to get through. And XAT is not going to have GK this year. So, dont worry. Do let us know which one you finaly opted for.

i am in a dilemma shud i apply with last yr's score card or this yr's
last yr i had eng 91.XX overall 92

this yr-- QA: 9.33 DI:11 VA: 20+(hopefully.. lotta variation here 😞 )

will the last yr score get me the call..??

XAT no gk is a welcome relief ....anyway my score is below 30s so i guess i definetle stand no chance....

Hey dude don't be that Low.........Its never over till its over.......
I too fall in the same bracket
My scores will be around 37.XX.....
DI: 9.66
QA:9.66
VA: 18.XX ( only God or IIMs know the definite score)......MICA sees the Verbal score more than the other two...soo the overall score might not matter that much.......So apply to MICA and just hope for the best.....but theres no reason to be so dejected.........
You shud not castigate urself for a ***** paper......
theres much more to life than a CAT ( Constipated Approach To management).....

You should be our career counseller &
U should be banned from appearing XAT/IIFT/FMS and whatever there is to do a management.....considering that
U r already a CAT 100%.......Hats off to you......lady....
