I remember having subscribed to a kids magazine called "Misha". This was published from the erstwhile Soviet Union.
I have lots of fond memories of the magazine. They had a bear called Misha as the logo.
I believe they had shut down operations, and might have recently restarted.
Anyone remembers Misha? Have a scan or an old copy?
I also loved to read misha .they were very good magazines . But can't find them now . I have even lost my old copies in shifting . But it was good to find a thread on this topic also .
Remember them!! LOVED them!! they were really good printed on good quality paper and all.CARTOONS!!!
Aww. I was really hoping to find a copy. A scan, anything.catanalyst Says.... But can't find them now . I have even lost my old copies in shifting ....
Er,you do realise that MISHA stopped printing a really long time ago.I am not sure scanners were available back then. And in the ensuing period a lot of them would have given it away. I guess u'll have better luck in hunting for a copy.
If I remember correctly the last few pages had illustrations by children, pictures of new stamps, addresses of kids who wanted pen-pals. There was also a simple crossword, unfortunately in Russian, beautiful illustrations for the stories.
Omg, I had absolutely forgotten about this magazine until I saw this thread. And as soon as I saw the topic long lost memories came flooding back. I loved this magazine! There was this library near my house, in vizag, which had many copies of this magazine and I used to go and sit therefor hours on end going through them...ah, the joys of nostalgia...

misha Saysok..........so a thread devoted to "Misha"......
Well Misha was loved by a lot of Indians.. I'm sure.
It might interest you that Misha was a pet name for "Mikhail" .. and it was the mascot of the magazine.. a bear 😃
Misha
misha Sayswell Misha was also the name of the mascot of 1980 olympics....and means something very different from anyone in this pgland......
Well it's because Misha is to Bear in Russian what Sheru is to Lion/Tiger in India.
Also "Bear" represents Russia so it's an obvious choice for both animal and name of the mascot 😃

:Fade-col: It used to really cool glossy magazine. Especially I can never forget its typical smell. It used to smell totally different. I liked all the activities (like glueing some stuff etc.) they used to give. And especially the games in the last page...
Absolutely loved those mags. I have 3-4 issues in my native place.I remmber there used to be a comic about a wolf and a rabbit.
They dont make them like those anymore......

*Wow* you're the first person over the course of this thread as well as among the hundreds I've asked, to actually own a copy! Would it be possible for you to scan it someday and post it? You would make hundreds of hearts glad!
I know it's asking for too much, but you'd be a hero
They dont make them like those anymore......
Absolutely true, man.. Some things are just perfect.. even now in my mind I can think of those Misha issues.. I remember Winnie the Pooh in it, the Wolf, the School Kid, the Space series.. The articles.. I first learnt what a stencil was when they wrote "Galileo created a perfect circle without a compass.. " I remember another article about kids aeromodelling in a park in Moscow.. Totally fascinated me then!
Such tiny things.. childhood memories. I wonder how I'll react to seeing an actual copy again; especially one I've read before..
