Hello...i had my interview at 13 Sep
i reached there at 9 AM..atmosphere was very good..the people there are very friendly and cooperative.First we had our document verification which last till 11.45.
After the called candidates one by one...interview duration was 12-15 mins for all.
My turn came around 1:45.
Panel of 4 people all males.(Details description abt panel was given by @ferocious002 ..in earlier posts. we had interview on same day)
i went inside the room....wished them.questions asked to me are ...

asked me abt the process followed during campus recruitment
Asked abt my training.
About the project i was working.
what different type of insurance are offered by NICL.(Only Names no description)

how much time it will take from ur hometown to reach mumbai,asked abt various other traveling options other than train...asked names of 2-3 trains to mumbai(dont know y they asked this question....
and then they said We are done.best of luck for final result.
over all exp was good...it was more of a casual discussion.
most of the peoples in my batch were working some where.Some in IT companies...some in banks..some in private banks/insurance companies.
they told result will be out by oct last week.

@deepika_raj_46 well i would say one thing that if u are not employed now then only go for FCI else...dont go for it.
In March 2011 i was selected in FCI (AG-III general) for western region.I found some info abt the job profile from some high ranked officials of FCI itself and i should not join FCI as it is very slow department regarding promotions and also the salary is very low...
so i didn't joined it.My cousin joined FCI and he was getting only 14-15k in hand at that time.luckily he got selected for other job and he resigns after 5 months.Also he told me that around 80 guys resigned in span of 6 months.
regarding work profile....there are 4 posts offered....General/Depot/Accounts/Technical
general is more like an clerical job...u have to deal with all the files ,prepare reports,maintain records and all..over all totally office work..no field work at all..for girls its the best.
depot is concerned with the storage of food grains.here you have to keep info and maintain record abt all the food grains items coming and going out....u have to deal with labor class peoples..and yes sme time you may have to travel to various godowns of FCI for loading/unloading...some peoples say there is a bit of black money involved in...for girls it s not good.
Accounts is related to accouting info and it is for commerce guys i think...dint have much info abt it. also no info abt technical.
salary is same for all the 4 posts...that is about 15000 in-hand,some allowance may differ according to place of posting.
so give first posting to general if ur filling the form.

What does above line means?
@lay_man as SSC is taking exam for FCI..and SSC usually takes exams for central govt departments..so they cleared it that FCI is not a central govt job....and also the pay scale of FCI is diff they follow IDA pattern(no grade pay) rather than Central govt pattern....

@lay_man Yes..not under any ministery...it's like a PSU just like.....Delhi Metro/ONGC/SAIL etc ..but far behind from them in terms of salary....

@cyurs no this was my first attempt.... one of my friend appeared last time in uicl.... and they all follow same trend... he is an AO now... and he says main huddle is written... and interview doesn't play vital role.... but i disregard this..

@deepika_raj_46 wen was ur interview and how was it???? mine was in delhi on 29th aug. and i m still confused how it went?? i mean they were asking me about 12th std physics......and some more normal questions ..... i gave all the correct answers but still not sure wat they were trying to search in a candidate???

@bepostive007 nothing much.... i just asked him how is the job..... he said full chillax type.... and his written was well and interview not up to the mark.... buthe got selected.. so its his perception.... his interview lasted for 5 mins....
