or seniors plz guide me.....i am scoring very less(shocking %ile) in cat ( 83% ile in 1 sec and 23%ile in 2nd sec......donno how!!!) so %ile is 58%ile only....GEN catgry
are there any nits who will accept this score!!!!

You can expect a call for GD/PI . Maximum chances are there for you to convert into a final call.

Dont be upset about your score. But with 58%ile, NIT Surathkal looks tough.
I would still suggest you to apply maybe if your luck kicks off you might get a drop-out seat.

NIT Jaipur
you will definitely convert into a final call. My suggestion apply to NIT K and keep Bhopal and jaipur as a back-up in case you dont get here you still can get there.

55%ile looks a bit tough but you still apply, according to past trends you should convert.

You stand a decent chance dude. look back to the previous posts for further details. You can check NITKSurathkal_NITKHome download form and according to instructions should fill and send to college on or before 31st jan 2012.

I appeared for CAT and this time my score was 86.88 percentile. Would you be able to gauge that this would be enough or not for IIT's Or NIT's,
Also, how could I prepare for the gd/pi sessions if I get selected, what type of questions they ask , technical or not?..whether there is any focus on extra curricular activities..as far as my profile is concerned its as below:
10th marks: 89.8 percent
12th marks: 88 percent
Engineering CGPA: 7.99
CAT 2011 score: 86.88 percentile.(is this good enough?)
Work ex- NIL(Actually passed out in june ...waited for joining....will this time be counted as a year wasted? )
Extra curricular- Attached with NGO"s Spicmacay, Hope foundation, CRY.

Sorry but IITs are way out of reach.
NITs you can try for trichy but last years cut-off for General was 90+ so i can predict it. Anyways i will suggest you take your chances and NIT Trichy.
You can keep NIT Surathkal and Allahabad for Back-up in case you cannot convert NIT-T.
