Still i havent got my Application No.

I have applied for NITK and posted the requested Documents with required DD and speed posted on 3rd Feb. 2012 and it reached NITK on 6th Feb. 2012 seniors please could you verify that, is my application have been received my you as i am seeing in previous post that the tentative GD/PI date is 24 /25 March 2012.

Ok, i wrote the above at morning now ie 3pm i received the acknowledge with my "Regd. No. : MBA 290"
senior please clarify my doubt that is on 24/25 March 2012 GD/PI will be conducted as i am from orissa and for that i have to make train reservation for that.

I have 62 % in my B.tech..Am i eligible for Coal India Campus Recruitment at NITK or do we need 65% in graduation to be eligible for the same?

CIL considers only your MBA score and not the grad score. Minimum you should have 6.0 cgpa on a 10.0 scale. so chill and dont worry.:cheerio::cheerio:

Sorry, but the date is fixed up and it cannot be changed anymore. Considering the suggestions of few puys, we had a meet in the dept. and then the decision was taken.

Actually GD/PI was initially planned to be on 11th march but was avoided as MH-CET falls on the same day i guess. 18th was also clashing with DSM-DTU and NIT Trichy. So finally we Decided to schedule it on 24th and 25th of march.

We cannot stretch it any more. I hope this gives a more clear picture. And moreover now you puys have to decided which college to opt for and which one to drop. Because after all you have to plan for your career.

i have posted my application on 28 Jan but till now haven't received reg number, I have drop a mail to deptt today. I have two additional question.

a) GD/PI will take place on both days for each person. I mean to say everyone will engaged for both days, I am asking it bcoz I need to come from Hyd and it a 18 hours journey and I am working in a company thus doesn't won't to take 23 Mar leave
b) When will be the result will be out after GD/PI?

For everyone who is worried about not receiving any acknowledgement yet. Please do not get worried. You will get it through post by the end of Feb.

NITK Will cal all the aspirants, so you can check and confirm your name in the GD/PI list.

GD/PI list is expected to be out by 21st or 22nd Feb. Only that day you will get to know that on which date and slot you have to be present.

Results will be out within a week after the GD/PI. And the Admission will start by 1st week of April( Tentative, but higly unlikely to be changed).

so just chalking other way out
can anyhow 25th can be fixed as gd-pi date for an individual this will solve my prob as other gd wd b over on 24th and i can reach nit on 24th nite or 25th mrng???

These problems may get addressed. Do cal the HOD and ask him to do the needfull.

Anyone wants to give preference of dates can do so by calling our HOD. You will get the number from our website.
