no boss.
NIT-k is superb they will call and ask u for confirmation.
they are so nice that twice or thrice i did not received there call as i was busy with work(off course i didnnt know it was frm nit)
but they kept calling until i picked and confirmed about receiving the mail.

Congratulations to all who have converted into the final merit list. A letter will be send to you shortly containing all the info regarding admission procedure. You shall also receive an email regarding the same. The details will also be updated on the Website in a day or 2.

The deadline for admission is 17th April 2012. After that the wait listed students will be given the opportunity based on the number of seats vacant in various categories.

nit k accepts nly cat score nd cutoff fr getting a call is anythng around 70...

dude..... u are talkin about 70 percentile !!!! it's hardly there lyk that .... they give call even at meagre score of 56 percentile also !!! i have one of my frienz who got call at 55 odd percentile :)

Last time around the administration showed sort of desperation in giving calls ... i mean , considering the BIG NIT status , they should ensure some high quality gets in .... and it is one of few NIT who admits students from ALL backgrounds..... pardon me .... but i don't want to compare NIT surathkal with BIG name of NIT trichy .... its WAY beyond NIT surathkal...... before applying to this college , GET SOME GROUND RESEARCH DONE MY FRIEND ...
