@azzurri.mystics u dont have to aim for Bschools, wat u can do, is study hard and get a 99%ile then u wl get calls even from IIMs. u have chances as their their are so many good b schools, who only considers CAT score while giving calls, like FMS, C, L.
@azzurri.mystics You should read through some of these threads here and see the profiles of some people who converted (Yes there are few with your similar profile also I guess!!). All that matters is how you SELL yourself and how you put in words you being a fit in the MBA programme for a particular institute.

Search for relevant threads for other IIMs using PG Search (top right). Next don't get bogged down by the profiles you see being posted here. Only those with very good profiles will feel proud to post here. Majority of others with low acads will not post at all and will be silent readers, and very few like you post here even with slightly low acads. So forget worrying about that as of now and focus on the prep. Give it your best and leave the calls, from where, how to convert etc. for later. You have almost 1year before you need to start thinking of all that!!

@dream_BLAC_2013 question patterns of class 12 xam, changed in 2006, again in 2009, so lots of debate is there, but it is for sure, it was really tough to get 90 in HS before 2007.

Buddy dont accept defeat before u have actually lost, plz.... See realistically, yes there is a looooot of bias & disgusting criterias in the Indian education system & not only you, pretty much everyone has to suffer in some way or another...So realistically speaking, u do have options among IIMs as well, TRULY.... IIM-C--> to many, the best institute in India, has the fairest admission process in the country, PERIOD...If u can get 99.6%ile up, then its all up to u to make it or break it. You will get calls from the new IIMs as well & maybe even L. Besides that, there are dream institutes like XLRI, FMS, MDI (70% weightage to CAT score alone) which dont pay much heed to past acads if u can really impress them in the GD/PI/WAT. Then there are great B-Schools like NMIMS, IMT-G, SIBM-P (For all these, a great weightage to entrance test score is given) etc where acads are not THAT important.... The only thing that u must worry about right now is getting a great score & then the calls will start pouring in... Best of luck 😃

@saikatha I hear u buddy...I know that as my best friends were from South Point which was under HS back then.... They told how extremely tough it was to get 93%.. Though NOW, there are several who get that score...Its a travesty that the institutes dont demarcate b/w those who get 88% in 2005 & the same score in 2010 :(

@dream_BLAC_2013 yeah, u must be knowing, at that time, there was 6 subjects and with 1st and 2nd paper in each, one had to write 12 papers, with every subjects 1st and second paper in the same day, that means, one had to write 6 hours in the exam from 10am to 1pm n from 2pm to 5pm, that too with monsters like chemistry, bengali, english, math, physics!!!!!!!!!!! it was hell lot of tough. aur agar 1st paper kharab gaya, to already 2nd paper mein ghotala ho he jata tha!

hey guys...m a 2013 CAt aspirant...i had bought time prep material and today i attemped VA for the first time ...i took up a mock test paper and just did the VA part...later on i cross checked my answers and i think that there were a few printing mistakes or maybe just wrong answers .....i am damn sure of 5 mistakes....Was it just a printing mistake or is TIME mock cat test papers just worthless???...i need your comments coz i need to find alternatives...

@tarunsingh TIME AIMCAT's are one of the most well known in the country for CAT Prep with max. test takers and giving clear idea of where one stands across the country. Just because there are few mistakes (and maybe not, no offence meant but maybe what you think are wrong! Go through the explanations given and see what they say) in 1 mock the whole test series cannot be discarded as worthless. But then yes, its always recommended to join for more than 1 mock test series (preferably 2 or at max 3), otherwise you'll get accustomed to one standard of question setting.

@preetic Same as ICSE buddy 😃 Its basically a gamble...You should have ATLEAST 92% in both & then leave it to god... If u have BTW, why the hell is everyone sooo worried about IIM-K? 😲 Its not the only IIM & certainly not the best... There are atleast 5 other IIMs & 5 other non-IIM institues better than it... & for the IIM-crazy people, plz concentrate on the 12 other IIMs---thats quite an abundance of options, is'nt it?? 😃

If u cant acquire one of these, then be rest assured that u would'nt have been able to convert those 4 as well. Trust me, if u get in any of these institutes, you will NEVER EVER EVER regret not getting a call from these 4.... 😃 Just work hard & try to get a killer score...If u flop there, then even 96% throughout will not help you....

@Ammz 1 last small thing about what u said here---- why will you get shattered about not getting IIM-B? There are 2 institutes that are BETTER than IIM-B, they are A & C and you are eligible for BOTH....So you, infact, should aim HIGHER than IIM-B :)
