Oh man, Can you go to your past and change your academics? No na.. Focus on written, There are also Good non IIM Colleges like XLRi,FMS.. Hope for the best, Prepare well. Hardwork never remains unrewarded Forever.

What else you want yar . You have an very gud profile. Plus reservation also. Even if you score 80 %tile u can get into IIM- Ahmedabad.

@bestanalyst IIMs (whichever you take) accept people with good profiles, who display a promise to learn (during the interview process) and those who know what they want to do with their lives. Period... Everything else about preference for a certain amount of workex... etc is absolutely not true and does not merit any attention. Please keep preparing for CAT 2013. If I tell you that yes they prefer people with 3 years workex would it stop u from preparing?? No, right. SO please do not start your preparation based on rumours/unconfirmed facts etc.
@Harimohan You are demotivated even before starting your preparation... What use it is to start then? Such pessimistic attitude in life gets you no where. Either way with such an attitude the interviewers would reject you in the interviews. So I'll tell you not to prepare. So now what?? Please start focusing on the basics and get going. You never know what about your profile will impress the IIMs. You are a CA. you bring diversity to the class profile of any top Bschool. So please keep working hard. Looking for posts to placate you on Pagalguy is not a good approach. Be self motivated.

" this was ur query. now, u think, what would u say, if someone asks u the same question, how can someone predict about something, that is yet to happen, ppl here can only say, that they have seen heard, ppl with similar profile like yours,have cracked IIMs, XL n others. infact there r ppl in IIMs with lesser marks than urs. whether u wl end up in A/B/C is hugely depends on ur CAT score, ur GD/PI and weird selection criteria of IIMs. u have an added advantage that is going to help u for sure, is that u r C. A.

Harimohan.......I too am a CA; but as a chartered accountant you are expected to be well aware of ground reality, which you arent. By ground reality, I mean have you even bothered to surf PG for "CAs in IIM" or even IIM's website? CAs get extra points in IIM-B,C and maybe others as well.

@DN2686 Ha Ha 😃 I know bcoz i myself got I & K converts last year 😃 So I have met atleast 78 fellow aspirants & know their scores.... And where the hell have I de-motivated anyone? 😲 Infact for the last 2days, i've been trying to boost people up who were down on hearing the news by showing them just how much options they have [Go to the last page & check out the acknowledgements]... Finally, 1 small thing which basically nullifies the need for any arguement-----> Can u here post a comment in bold GUARANTEEING that anyone with less than 90 WILL get an interview call & if he/she does'nt, you take full responsibility for shattering their hope??? I , on the other hand, guarantee in public that no one with less than 90 will ever get a 'K' call..... if u cant proclaim that, then Plz stay the hell out of things that u have no idea about....

Currently in Reliance Industries Limited:- 4 months
c) I am CS Executive cleared, but no interest in clearing CS Professional.
d) I have cleared all exams in first attempt all group in one sitting:-
CPT 67%
PCC 54.17%
Final 50%

@dream_BLAC_2013 How do you know that everyone is measured using the same yardstick? How is it that you seem to know everything about the IIM admission process? How they evaluate applications, the marks they give and the way they judge candidates? Who/which profile will get a call.Sincere piece of advice - please stop demotivating people with information that is not credible, basd on people's opinions and cannot be confirmed. IIMs scale board marks based for different boards based on student performances that year. If some person in IIMI or IIMK thread does not accept or understand that please do not lend credibility to the statement without actually verifying it.
Yes exactly, to get 85% in state board is much harder than to score 90% in CBSE Board. As far as I know, IIM K and IIM B also use normalization process for 10th and 12th marks..

Hmmm .But less than 90%tiles and more than 85%tile may fetch you S call, My friend converted it with 87.xx%tiles. :mg: Anyway ATB For this year.

IIMs have their own criterias that have nothing to do with it, first you have to get the interview call & then comes the question of impressing them--- like IIM A will not ever consider you if you dont have 80 throughout, even if u had interned in NASA....IIM K looks for 90+ scorers always...IIM-S requires u to have 83.5% in engg. REGARDLESS of whether you are from IIT-B or Galgotias....So plz stop the BS....

@Ammz Bhai if u go through CL webinar chatscripts, you will see that Gautam Puri has said that if u have only 3 months left, JUST THROW THE FLASH CARDS away coz they wont help much but if u have sufficient time, then plz dont disregard them... You have 10 months left & thats a sizeable time....So go through them but most IMPORTANTLY, rather than mugging, you should understand how they are used in a sentence [Norman Lewis helps u with that]. What they will do is help u tremendously in IIFT,SNAP, NMAT specially, where we are asked antonyms & synonyms...you will find many common words & it will take u seconds to solve those questions..It really helps... In CAT, antonym,synonym is generally not asked but you may be asked the MEANING OF A WORD IN THE RC... Tk cr :)

Wohi to main bhi keh raha tha...If u have to aim for something badly, to phir tum IIM A or C ko kyun chor rahe ho? 😲 they are the top-2 in the country,afterall.... ABOVE IIM-B and you are very strongly eligible for that..Dekh mein kabhi IIM-A nahi pa sakta coz I have 79.8% in Grad, so they wont call me...I am jealous of u man 😁 Agar dream dekhna hi hain, to dream about the best na, jaha u have as good a chance as anyone...Forget IIM-B, dream about the Mother Of All Campuses---> IIM-A/C :D
