Hi guys,

I hv gt 96.57 percentile in Feb mat and i am looking for good colleges.I gt a chance in IMIS Bhubaneshwar,what should i do??I have 20 months of work ex in Cognizant Technology Solutions.Please help me.

@pm199010 some where someday in the past even Jims wd hd produced good managers,no doubt abt the same,n name any college,i m sure they wd be hvng people with even 16 lpa in the past....bt thn thats NOT a solid base to judge if the profile is worth going fr,becz that same college(MAT Based) wd has been placing students at 18 k/month(n that too in majority) ....!!.n apart frm this at the same time you hv to consider the "profile" of that person too who got placed at 10 lpa....!...we don't find such people often in tier 3 colleges..! "the gold will be sold" anywz...!!...but in todays market condition,even the Gold is hvng a tough time....as the requirements hv gone high to "Diamonds" :D

@pm199010 this ws my second attempt in Cat....n that same normalization ruined me all.....as CAT is more about accuracy,my higher attempts created the problem,other wise never in my tenure of preparations i hv thought to wrie MAT......!!..but unfortunately to get into tier 1 colleges CAT/XAT/SNAP/C-MAT are the major options,dropping the so called MAT(in wch we hv a good score) 😁 ; though i m waiting fr the C-MAT score that is to be released tomorrow.

@soham1231 : Other options include,Market research,Brand Management,Business development,Investment planning,Sales Analysis e.t.c....but all of these are offered at Tier 1 B Schools only.....though it is a matter of regret,but thats the irony of MAT colleges.

@Priyank4 fees for mms is 1,72,500 per year....and for pgdm its 2,30,000 per year...placements are good..good companies come...no idea about highest package.....sorry :-)

Average Package - 5.50 lakh p.a.
Lowest Package - 3.50 lakh p.a.
