i scored 680.5 composite score in sept mat and 90.63 percentile. please suggest me the best colleges to apply,
can anyone tell how is alliance clg? placements n all?

I beg to difffer on the issue of best MAT b schools,I am surprised Why Christ always features in the best B schools when the true fact is Christ was in the list of 44 universities that faced de recognition some years ago by UGC.
ITs my request to all not to suggest such colleges to people when peoples careers are at stake here

Buddy you are very much right about the fact that it was among the list of 44 Universities who lost its deemed status back in 2008...but again the matter of fact is the issue is still in the Supreme court and court has maintained status quo on its "deemed" tag...so its still a deemed university.:)
But may be....your concern is somewhere right...as everyone do become skeptic to get enrolled in a college which is in court for some or other reason...but than again...the "deemed" tag has nothing to do with recognition...as Christ is well approved by UGC...and also accredited A+ by NAAC(means better quality of education)...so thts why it makes Christ...a better place for MBA(under MAT allied colleges).
and one more reason for everyone including Christ in their list of Top colleges is you can say...may be the Level of MAT exam or the standered of colleges allied to it...which still makes Christ most preferred amongest the bunch of MAT B schools.;)

1.When you say level of MAT and Mat level colleges,u consider christ as a great college,see i have nothing against any one,but i believe i am here to tell people the thing which might help them in makin better decisions.
2.Coming to MAt level colleges,believe you me,I made an exhaustive search of college by college,i scored a 98.4 percentile in Mat and any mat colege u name it,i Got calls from there,christ was one i visited personally
When it comes to mat colleges,these are some colleges whose names come up
1.Amity university: merit -amity is a brand name (thanks to advertisement)
demerit- fees very high but bigger problem is the intake,so many students enrolled that no personal attention can be given(not humanely possible)
Same is the case with Balajee inst.of modern managment,pune(intake very high)
2.Other options that come are IILM GSM,empi,JIMS delhi
of these my personal choice is IILM GSM,Lmme tell u why
Merits: 1.Intake and personal attention- the intake is 240 including both sectoral and general pgdm (pgdm is aicte approved),every student gets a faculty as mentor,infrrastructure is great with a residential campus.
2.placements- i am not going to make any tall claims- the average package is 4-4.5(the same as any big brand names mat collleges- amity,bimm,alliance bangalore) the highest package was 11.5
as far as the big corporates go-delloite,kpmg,hdfc bank all the big names from market research firms to finance giants,all come to campus and iilm alumni are successfuly placed everywhere.
3.Many of You might have heard about IILM GSM but you wont find the college being some big brand name,cause iilm gsm is different,its not the brand name that make this college best,or the big buildings like amity,wat makes it best for an MAT student is that IILM GSM Does not waste money advertising and making tall claims
It spends money on assets (students) and on adding value to you,so that after two years of PGDM you can take any challenge that u want(so u have so many guest lectures,industrial visits and SIP)
@dash001 some colleges make it mandatory for seperately applying to them like IIRM in jaipur,however MAT asks you to give a list of 5 colleges where your scores would be send
the best way i see is make a study of which mat colleges u want to go for and select them and then look if these colleges are asking to apply seperately

Hi friends.....I scored 94 percentile (composite score 701) in september 2012 MAT.
I gt calls frm some colleges like Alliance University Banglore, NIILM, AIMA Lodhi Road, NDIM Tughlakabad, Christ University, University of Petroleum and Energy Dehradoon...........i wanted to know which of these is the best to join??? Criterions like Placement, Faculty, Fees, Hostel etc...
Anybody looking for PSG IM coimbatore? They have both MBA and PGDM. I believe one among them is the anna university programme and the other is some internal university collaboration. Not sure which is better. does it fall under TANCET counselling? can anyone pls share more info on its admission process...
