U dont need LOR for the evaluation. You need to produce it only if u finally get an admission. So dont worry and let ur manager have a nice holiday.

Can someone tell me at what point of time we are supposed to produce the Letter of recommendation (LOR)?
Do we need to produce it at the time of GD/interview?
The reason why I am asking is I am applying for June 07 intake in a day or two and my manager will be out of station from next week for 2 weeks. If I get a call for interview by 1st week of April, I may not be able to get the LOR
Can you please let us know whether any offer letters have been given for the PMM course for the june intake....
I know 2 who have got thru (got an offer letter) for PMM. One of them was in the same batch as me during the evaluations.
If you feel that the number of wait listed candidates is too much, the only reason I can think for this is that the course is in great demand and they (SP Jain) are receiving a large number of applications for it. A large number of outstanding candidates applying for the course can lead to a large number of wait listed candidates.

Hi, we will not shortlist candidates who do not have a score. Hence you have to give us either a CAT/XAT/GMAT/SPJ Aptitude test score. YOu may take our aptitude test on the 14th of April 07. This is the last test that SPJain would conduct for its June 07 intake. thanks

I've decent academics and a work-ex of 18 months in IT industry. However, I've not taken any test so far. Do you consider applications with a sound profile and no aptitude score (neither CAT/XAT nor SPJAT)..Do people get calls for GD/PI based on just their profile. I'm interested in the course but I'm reluctant to take any test. Please reply.

We only shortlist candidates who have a score that meets our cutoff. So if you are found suitable enough t o be shortlisted it would only be AFTER we receive your apt test score which we feel meets our cut off. thanks

Thanks for letting us know this. Well, i think, there are not much applications in PMM. compared to IT AND IB, the applications are less. Anywyas, hoping for the best. we are still in wait list.

Dear Avdhesh, Thank you for your message. While the 10th, 12th and final year are very important and looked at more carefully, we cannot disregard or overlook the inbetween years of graduation as well.
You would also appreciate the fact that we receive very high quality applications from some extremely outstanding students and hence at times we have to waitlist some of the students who do not meet certain criteria. I'm afraid as of now you are waitlisted and would have to be patient with regards to any change in your application status.

the other day at the road show in mumbai, i specifically asked the professor about the non university exam marks and he told me that the non university exams (my 13th and 14th) marks would not count towards being shortlisted.
and today when i called up your bombay office, i was told that i was not being shortlisted at the moment because of these very marks. i am literally in a state of shock and awe since i do not understand the contradicting points of view. please help me out, since the only reason for my drop in marks was that i was supporting my father in his business due to personal family health reasons and so could not get the time to study properly.
kindly consider my case as a special case and help me out.
The aptitude test is like any otehr MBA entrance test where we would test you on your verbal and quantitative ability, logic ,GK etc. evaluations would not take place on the 14th of April 07. thanks
Rutty i am going to take the apptitude test on april 14th for the june intake of GMBA, i just wanted to know whats format of the apptitude test, is it similar to the other competitive exams like the CAT or XAT which has quant,verbal ability,DI or is it any diff? also on the 14th april, apart from the apptitude test is there going to be any other form of evaluation?

I have applied for PMM and have been under waitlist. got the results just yesterday. Rutty, are there instances, where the candidates really got the offer after being in the wait list? OR is wait list a sofasticated way of a REGRET? Also, we would like to know tht how is the rush for PMM? According to my knowledge, PMM applications overall are less compared to IB and IT and WM. Then why this wait list?

hi.. I have a query. I have been shortlisted for evaluations for 31st March in Mumbai (gmba). However I will be in Dubai duing that period. Do they conduct interviews in Dubai as well?If so, will I be able to get it shifted?
Yes, you may use these scores for the Dec 07 intake as we accept score of upto the past 3 years. Placement statistics for the Dec 06 intake would only be available in Oct/Nov 07as they are still studying ad are yet to be placed.

Hi Rutty, My Application No. 14365 WM I recieved a call/mail for the Second Stage (Evalutions) today and i selected my slot thereafter for 31st March but then after some time I recieved a mail saying
'We thank you for your interest in our GMBA (June intake) program. We have scrutinized your application and wish to inform you that you are falling short on one of our admission criteria which requires a student to have a score i.e either you do not have a score OR you have a score which does NOT meet our requirements.'
When I login to the site i see the status as 'You are presently in the evaluation stage of our admission process.'
