Can you please tell about the procedure for applying for scholarships? At what stage do we apply for the same and what is the procedure. I have got a call for evaluation on 2nd September. Do I need to apply for the scholarship prior to my going?

Since CAT/XAT scores of the past 3 years are accepted, can I apply with the CAT score of say 2005 and XAT score of 2006 ? (As they are the best scores that I got). Or is it necessary that I should mention the latest CAttaken by me and that both XAT and CAT should be taken in the same year?

HI RUTTY,
I have already applied for the program for Jan-2008 intake. My quiry is regarding the test score u would be considering.
In the application I have opted for the test by your institute. But I had written CAT 2006 and had 86%ile. The problem is I never recieved the score card from the IIMs. I have a copy of the score card I had printed out from net. Will that do or would I have to show the original. And if yes, can I change the choice of test in the application program

For the last three years am planning to write my CAT , But i couldnt , thanks to my job ...But this year i will definte write CAT and all the management exams , kinda pissed off with the Topsy turvy IT Firm . what are my chances to get into sp jain mumbai .

working as a Functional consultant for the last 3 years ( EPM + HCM )
1. xth - 83.2 %
2. XII th - 80.2 %
3. Engg From VIT _ VELLORE ( 83.9%) ( Mechanical )
4 extra circular activites outstanding like - National level in sports and painiting .

Please give me a honest and meaningful feedback and if possible the loopholes so that i can improve before the Judgement day.

I have applied for the January-2008 session.I have not taken any aptitude test till now,although I am appearing for CAT-2007 and plan to appear for XAT-2008 and SAT.Since the last date for applying/sending scores is November 15, 2007, I'll not have any scores in hand by then.I read on this blog that the S P Jain aptitude test has already been conducted on 12th August, 2007 and that more test details will be flashed on the website. Could you plz give me an idea of the tentative date/s for the next SAT?
Also, how much role do academics play in getting shortlisted?I am an Architecture student and academic percentages in this stream per se are quite low compared to engineering or other fields.Is there a common cut-off criterion for all streams?If yes, then what are my chances of getting shortlisted??I have 60% throughout my graduation till now.Also, is there a preference for students from a particular field such as commerce or engineering???

Dear Chirag,

We normally look for relevant work experience at the same time we do take in a small percentage of freshers who have outstanding Academics.
You can apply now admissions are open for the January 2008 intake.
Please look for placement details on the website, S.P.Jain Center of Management, Dubai . Singapore.

Scholarships are given only to very deserving candidates.
We do have tie up with banks,can assist you with that at the time of taking the loan.

Scholarship applications need to be made only after you get an offer,you will not need to put in an application for that now.

Dear Katzenjammer,

It is not necessary that the scores need to be of the same year,you can put in your application with the CAT and XAT scores you have.

Are you a graduate as yet?You will need to be a graduate at the time of applying.
with regards to aptitude test we are looking at conducting a test in September details of which will be up dated on the website and you could register for that.
Academic scores are one of the parameter for shortlisting to the next stage.However it is not the only criteria we have.

I attended the interactive session conducted here in Delhi yesterday and gained some insight about the course and the application procedure. They also said that the next SPJAT will be conducted on September 30th.
As far as academic scores are concerned they said that the field and institute are kept in mind while shortlisting.I am now eagerly awaiting the notification about the SPJAT because now everything'll be dependent on my performance in it.

I have a question regarding recruiting companies...
I am applying for the June 08 intake...as i am from core telecom background....i would prefer to back to it....
I know that S P jain provides one of the best campus recruitment......but among ur recruiters list i havent found any good telecom company....
As i am very much interested in joining....i would like to know abt my post MBA prospects...plz reply

I have a query quite different from all till now you have faced.

To get into . SP Jain Dubai and Singapore.
std x- 61 %
XII - 62% .. Both cbse Board.
B.sc. Maths -53%
PGMBA- 66%
PGPAMM(Media Mngmnt)- 56%

Work Exp- about 2 Years.

But The catch is my age is above 30 years.:)

What Chances do I stand in persuiing my dream for GMBA here.?:neutral:

Dear dmvars,

There is no difference between the courses commencing in Jan 2008 and June 2008.

This is the variation that we are looking for,it is always better to have variety in terms of age , experience as students can interact and learn from each other.
For IT and for all the other specializations the cut off GMAT is 650,likewise for experience we take in students with an average experience of 2 yrs but there are also instances where in we have taken in freshers with outstanding academics.
what offer you will ultimately get is based on the knowledge that you have gained from the course as well as your previous experience.

Dear Rini,

Our classes would commence in Jan 2008, Since your results are to come only in January I am afraid that you will not be suitable for the January 2008 Intake but you can look at applying in June 2008.

Hi Rutty

I am very new to this forum
I was looking forward for some info for admission based on my profile.

I am B.E graduate 2005 pass out from Manipal Institute of Technology manipal.

I have 2+yrs of working experince with Wipro Technologies.

I have recieved awards and appreciation for my work in Wipro.

I have the below mentioned acads

10 th - 74.6%
12th - 75%

B.E (Mechanical):- 3.45/4 (85%)

I have a CAT score : 86% percentile.

Do I need to give the SP jain apptitude test or this CAT score is enough for the eval.

Please let me know if I apply now and the next test in September will the evaluation call before or after the test.

Can I apply for Finance domain even though I have a IT work ex

What are my chances of getting shortlisted for the interview directly before the test.
