I have got an offer from a kpo..its a us based captive unit mainly into healthcare.
the nature of profile is as follows--Data analyst
1-reconciliation of data
2-looking for any variance in data
3-reasons for variance--
4-the HR told me I may have to use Macros..root cause analysis..etc(i have no idea about what these things are!)
while i am a fresher..this is my first job...in the next couple of years i want to do MBA in finance...
will such kind of experience be valuable? kindly comment on my nature of work.. how valuable will it be in during interviews in MBA (MBA FInance)??
this Kpo is not well know, the shifts would be odd and it also has many people from voice process(at the time of interview many people were thr for call centre interview..very few for the position i applied)..it had plans to come out with an ipo in US..well..the hr told me...but hasnt come out with it yet.


please someone throw some light on my nature of work and if this will be valuable during mba interviews? has anyoen worked in similar profile?

I am working in Infy for past six months , I had my training in .Net
(Had to work hard in training ,n mangd decent 4.95/5).But they gave me support . Ultimate aim of mine is to get through gud MBA college .
My question is dat ,if I being in support has some negative impact in PI's or
being in a developer profile has positive impact . My next question is about certifications , if I get a Microsoft certification on SQl server or other techonoligies ,would it help me switch a company which has development work

Hi all,
I just love to know a person's nature,thinking and behaviour...and i can understand it so well that in few days of interacting i can predict in what situation wht he/she will be doing and wt will be ans/reply to this ques/situation....my frnds and family belive i m really good at understnading psychology of people though i have never read psychology i jus love to do this and its like my favourite hobby ...and i love to help people and provide them solutions of probs which they r facing and i m a damn good motivator


So i would like to get response from sum seniors that HR is related to this like interacting wid ppl and motivating them, so am i fit for MBA HR?? or these thngs r not enough for becumin a HR?? and My acads are not gud...u can say its poor how much will this effect in getting jobs??

Hi puys!!! help me out here

I got 88% In CAT this year ( Very little prep.) . planning to give CAT next year. But the problem is my acads.

10th -72% UP board.
12 - 69% UP board.
BE - 59% Bharati uni. pune.
Work Ex. 4 years . Currently working as Team lead (operations) in BPO.

If I go by the situation this year, I will not get calls from any IIM even if I will score 99+ ( poor acads) . Other MBA colleges are following the same pattern this year and not giving calls to the people
So why should I prepare for CAT , if the same thing going to happen next year as well.:nono:

Hi Friends ! I am a bit confused with regards to my further education.
I completed my graduation in BMS ( 2008 ) with a distinction. Currently i work with Asian Paints as a Purchase Officer and im doing well here. I appeared for CAT 2010 but could not score well. Iam awaiting CET results and im positive about my score. Im confused as to in which stream i should pursue my MBA, Operations or Supply Chain Management.
Also, which are the good colleges in Mumbai that will offer me those MBAs? ( pls note that i am a graduate from commerce background, so NITIE is out of option ).
I really need some help.

I have a delimma.
profile
BE(ECE)
Employer-9 months HCL Technologies(Nokia Network Operations)
Also with 5 or so months in a BPO.
I am planning to give CAT 10,which would make a experience of 16 months in HCL itself.Now my question is would my BPO experience be of any value if IIMs are calling based on profile?And then in case of no calls,if i am planning to retake CAT 11 and a gap of 2-3 months occurs till i get to the next job.would that affect my selections as well?Please reply

I have a very different sort of query.I'm a very average sort of student.average in QA,VA,DI..I have joined Cl but not practicing enough. I want to know whether average people like me even after putting a lot of effort get the coveted call ? Like I have read many post where people manage 80-90 percentile in CAT without any serious prep.I got something around 60 in DCAT of CL. So does that mean I'm pursuing a foolish dream ?

I really really want to get into the IIMs but I'm not a gifted one.

u hav d ans in ur query... u need to practice ur Cl materials first... its true dat ppl get 80-90 percentile widout prep but it doesnt mean u cant get 90+ percentile wid a good prep.. hav faith in urself n prep well.. u ll surely succeed.

B.Tech (CSE)==>70.5%
I am working in Infy for 6 months now ,My problem is dat dey have put me in Support Division ,is support experience in same way inferior to development experience. I wanna knw how much experience in such a profile ,would be sufficient wid gud percentile of (>99%),would give calls from premier B-school.
I am very interested in development ,but more interested in Management .Should I change d job and go 4 development profile ..

as far as CET colleges go u are reqd to give ur stream in second year..in 1st year u get plenty of info on what stream to choose....try other exams also apart from CAT, CET etc.

first of all dont believe people blindly...every1 prepares..
IIMs have all kinds of people (gifted 1s who make it in the first attempt itself) and those who give it twice/thrice may be four consecutive times...

ur "REALLY REALLY WANTING TO get into IIMs" will convert into scores if u prepare sincerely and smartly....

nd even if u dont make it to IIMs other colleges are there to get into...

Hi..i am new to this forum..actually i am in my final year of engg..i am really confused as to should i opt for ms or mba..the option of ms-mba dual degree really attracts me,but dunno how to find the relevant info regarding which are the best colleges offering this and carreer prospects and stuff..

how good /bad is frost & sullivan what is work culture, career progression for MBA(fresher- marketing) offered - Research associate... they dont pay well ask for 2 yrs bond also. will I not get trapped . I have a dream working for FMCGs (me -- from top 25 b schools still poor placements in campus ) another offer in hand is Central Bank of India Scale II
guide me on Off campus placements for FMCGs for MBAs
